So I just watched the clip on Kelly & Michael on youtube and I didn't think it was all that bad. I guess I expected worse after everyone's comments about how bad he looked. Clearly he is not coloring his hair but he had just flown in from London and I'm sure there was exhaustion from being awake for a while. I didn't hear any slurring and he didn't seem the least bit "out of it" to me.

If you can find a clip of him on Graham Norton watch that and you'll see it. I did see a little bit of him on Kelly and Michael and it wasn't as bad as on Graham Norton, i think that show was filmed back in January but it did air here (in US) until later Feb/early March.

I tried to watch The Odd Couple last season, but Matthew Perry's speech was distracting me. I also looked it up, to see if he had a stroke, or some other medical issue. I didn't find anything either. As PP said, just a lot of people wondering the same thing.

The show is really well written, but he's a little too "Chandler" in the Oscar role (LOVE Thomas Lennon as Felix though). I think a mild tweak in his delivery would improve the show dramatically.

I agree. I don't think I've seen Thomas Lennon in anything else, but he does make a good Felix. Still, I guess because of watching Tony Randall and Jack Klugman as a kid, they'll always be the best to me, even better than Lemon and Matthau, for me, anyway.

He was on Live the Kelly and Michael today. He does not look good at all. Not only has he not aged well but there was something really weird looking about his mouth. Just curious if anyone else caught it.

On a separate note, he's going to play Oscar Madison in a new version of the Odd Couple. Can't help it but he will always be Chandler Bing!!!

Just watched a video clip. He sounds like he has dental implants of some kind. A lot of people have that same tripping over words sound, sometimes together with an air through speaking sound too. Most famous who had this was Leonard Nimoy. A little like speaking with something in your mouth sound

He does look bad. I guess that's what years of drug abuse will do to a person.

I wonder if something else is going on or if he still has an addiction? I'm far from an expert on drug abuse, but it doesn't seem like three years of abusing pain pills (yet still being able to function and go to work everyday) would cause him to be this messed up years later. While he had obvious changes during his Friends years with his speech and weight loss, he looked really good by the end when he was supposedly clean. Now he looks like death warmed over. Makes me wonder if he is still clean.

I just think he's gotten older, I don't attribute his looks to drug use or think he looks overly bad. We all age, some more graciously then others, that's all.
