Good Morning, I was checking the schedule for our upcoming trip Nov 23 - 28. Matterhorn is not listed under rehab anymore. Is it open or did they just forget? Thanks

It wasn't open this past weekend.

I just read somewhere where Matterhorn will reopen sometime in the middle of January. I hope this is wrong. We're planning to go in Demember and that's my favorite ride.

I can't handle missing both Matterhorn and Fantasmic at the same time. :(

Does anyone know for sure when Matterhorn will reopen?

Thanks

I'm headed for DL for the first time on Dec. 5-8...and I was really hoping to ride the Matterhorn...

Is there any hope that it will be open that week?

I was seeing it was on the refurb schedule...but now it's gone...

OK...I hate to be the one to have to do this...but...

I just got off the phone with Disneyland Guest Relations...and the Matterhorn Bobsleds are closed until Jan. 11...seems the website (which is based in Florida) needs some updating...

I'm really bummed because I've never been to DL before and wanted to do the Matterhorn...oh well...at least the other mountains (Splash, Space, and Thunder) will be open (Believe me, I asked! :))

The woman was really helpful...she said the Matterhorn "looks like Swiss cheese" right now because of all the work...evidentally there were some safety issues where they had to move rocks to make sure they were safely out of the way of guests who were trying to reach out and touch them as they sped past...

Oh well...looks like I'll have to make a return visit to do the Matterhorn someday!

Have a good one!

Matterhorn... Swiss Cheese!!!!

Good pun by the CM. :)

Unfortunately, it is close to the truth.

Oh Higgs.......I'm in tears. I'm going in the first week in December too and my dream was to ride Matterhorn first.

Should I go to Disneyworld instead or keep my plans for Disneyland.

I'm sure Disneyland will still be great. We'll just have to travel back for a Matterhorn fix. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I was also looking forward to riding Matterhorn. You dont see too many bobsled types of roller coasters anymore. Just bad luck!!

^ Haunted Mansion Holiday makes it even more worth it.

Thanks for all the great tips and information. I agree, Disneyland is still worth going to. I can't wait to see Christmas time at Disneyland. I love the Indiana Jones ride and I can't wait to see the Christmas Haunted Mansion.

I just heard they are enhancing the Yetti monster from the Matterhorn. He'll have more lifelike movements to scare each rider. COOL!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
I can't wait to see it sometime in the future. I only wished it would be ready in December....oh well, we'll still have a wonderful time. :teeth:

I am bummed. I thought it was going to be open mid Dec. for our last couple of days there. Matterhorn was one ride I was looking forward too. *sigh*

Maybe they're going to put the Cops side that the show premiered in 1989, so I'll be able to go on my fav. ride on March 2003.

Wish they would turn it into a volcano and make it a "Hawai'ian Rollercoaster Ride" themed to 'Lilo and Stitch.' I don't understand why they would want to make a family coaster (one with only a 30" height requirement) scarier. It would make the lagoon look like it belongs there...

dream on...

Everytime I go there the Matterhorn is closed LOL Sheesh.

This will make the second time in a row we miss this ride:( Oh well I guess we will have to go back when its open;)

I feel your pain.:bounce: Matterhorn is the coolest ride ever!! After I found out I would be missing Matterhorn, I've been walking around the house like a zombie. I haven't said a word in days. I'm having dreams about that Yetti.:p

Oh well, I still want to see Chritmas time at Disneyland. Maybe the new Aladin broadway show at DCA will make up for it when we go in Demember. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

With Matterhorn shut down, I guess I'll have more time to do some pin trading.;)
