Matterhorn for 3.5 year old?

Our DD was 6 when we first went on the Matterhorn with her. We told her that there was a giant snowman inside and he had a bad toothache just like the abominable snowman in Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. We told her he would be howling in pain because of his tooth. Worked for her!

So, every time we went back she would say, "I want to go on the toothache ride." People used to look at us kinda funny :confused3

Oh, and Space Mountain is the Cookie Ride, but that's another story :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I'd love to hear about Space Mountain as the Cookie Ride...do tell!

My DD at age 3.5 loved the ride, but not sure she wants to go on it because she says "it's scary". Not as in a freaky ride, but that the insides/scenes are "scary".

I say go to youtube.com. Type in the Matterhorn in Disneyland. You can view actual footage from people taping the ride while on it. Then judge, or ask your child would they like to go on the ride. Anyhow, have a wonderful trip!!

Definetely depends on the kid.
My son loved it at 3 years old but my daughter at 6 won't go on it!

Totally depends on the kid. My 3.5 year old dd LOVED it, but she also loved BTMRR, Space Mountain, and even the Tower of Terror. On the other hand, she hated Mr. Toad and Snow White, and all those twinkie rides- the theming was too much for her.

My 3 year old loved it last week. I warned him about the "Snowman" first and we had to growl louder than he did........and sure enough we did! He did it twice and loved it each time. I agree though, depends on the child.

Another great idea :) ...growling louder than the Abdominal Snowman.

My DD was 6 when we were last in DL and she was frightened by the ride. We're going back this summer and even though she's 12, based on her memory of the experience, she isn't sure she even wants to go on it now! I'm going to try "youtube" to see if I can change her mind!

We just took our 2 year old on it for the first time. He LOVED it. Called the abomitable smowman a monkey. So it was the monkey ride. ( He just turned 2 ) When my niece went on it for the first time at 4, she loved it too. She called it the butterhorn.
