Is the Matterhorn now a fastpass? The Disney site doesn't say it is but the new 2003 Birnbaum book says it is.

Does Birnbaum put out more than one edition a year? I just looked at my 2003 book (purchased in February for an April trip) and it showed Matterhorn not having FP. It had a "Birnbaum's Best" tag, but not the little "FP" tag next to the name of the ride.

When I was there last month, Matterhorn did not have FP, although I wish it did as it stayed busy the entire five days I was there and I only got to ride it once, early in the morning, on a weekday.

DS was looking in a book in the bookstore and he was the one who told me. I thought it was Birnbaum but I'll check with him and see which book it was.

I was there recenly and *I* didn't see any fast passes. This was last weekend.

I am there at least 3 times a week and no, unfortunately, it does not have a FP as of yesterday.

Any more ???--i will be glad to help!

Currently Matterhorn does not have FP but there was a rumor a few months ago, that they were going to install one sometime in the future.

That would be sweet. It really needed it when I was there. They might just do it as I'm sure the Matterhorn is picking up some of the riders lost due to SM closing.

I was there two days ago and no FP for Matterhorn...lots of long lines though! :-)

Without any major reconfiguring of the queue building all they would be able to do would be set up one side as Fastpass and the other as stand-by. That would get people really bent out of shape in making it difficult to experience both tracks.

We could have sworn that we heard the refurbished Matterhorn was going to have FP, but we were there last week. NO FP. We asked one of the CM's, and he practically screamed at us that the ride would be RUINED if FP was installed! We thought his reaction was pretty funny!
We waited in line 30 minutes, wishing for FP.:D
