After the refurbishment a couple of years ago, the boards were full of complaints about the uncomfortable seats. I then dissapeared from the boards, and now I'm back (going next week with Kanye) and nobody's talking about them.

Are they still uncomfortable for tall people? Thanks.

Just curious, are you going because of the rumored kanye/kim party or did you already have plans? I can imagine people going just because of it, but they will probably be disappointed and just add unruly teen behavior to the crowd.

I was just as nervous about the Kanye rumor as the next guy. I'll be there on the 15th, and it's pure coincidence, hopefully not bad luck.

Since I'll be in Disneyland that day, I should tweet that I spotted Kanye in CA to get rid of the unruly teens. :)

So you've been there since they stopped the sitting-with-another-person? The new bobsleds that have your own space and restraints?

They aren't even comfy for short people. I was 5'3" the last time I was on Matterhorn (yoga has caused me to grow an inch, so the height thing with me is weird!) and it was horrible for ME! And I don't have long legs at all. I ended up with a bruise on my thigh that lasted for weeks. Just awful.

Stop it! I finally convinced my kids to go on the Matterhorn, and now we are all going to be bruised? Noooooooooo! I'll never get them to trust me again.

Well at least they want to go on Indy. No bruises there, right?

I'm 6'0 and 270 and I rode it in 2013 after the refurb and while it was a tight fit, once I was in I was fine. My knee was up against the seat in front of me and I learned after the first turn I had to be careful not to hit it on the bumps but other than the first turn I was able to keep it from bumping the seat again and had a fun ride.

I like the ride of the Matterhorn better than the ride of the Indy vehicles. No one in our group ended up with bruises. But it is a rough ride.

I don't think anyone is really talking about them as frequently (although, it still does come up) because the seats haven't changed since that refurbishment.

I've only been on the Matterhorn once since the refurb and I remember being so disappointed! It used to be one of my favorite rides, and then it was turned into something that messed up my back. :( It's been long enough now that I have almost forgotten the physical pain.... plus I want to see the new monster. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get my kid on the ride, though. I guess it's just as well.

Actually there were reports that Indy bruises your brain, and caused brain injuries, but I think that was shortly after opening and they supposedly "adjusted" it over the numerous refurbs it has undergone.

I've been on it with both configurations............and hate them both. I have some disk issues and always come off this one in extra pain. I will not be riding it on our next trip, which is sad, because my son loves it....... :guilty:

I like it bumpy. :)

Oh no! Forget what I said! I'm overly sensitive in every way, so it makes sense that I'm overly sensitive bruise-wise as well.

Plus, they are kids and can handle it way better than us older folk.

Weirdly I can handle Indy. I plant my feet on the floor, sit straight but also relaxed, and just go with the flow of the ride. I come off of it feeling good. WEIRD.

When are you going????? We're working on a trip in late July after Eamon goes to a big dance thing in Long Beach.

My idea is to cover the seats with memory foam. Lots of it! But do they listen to me???
I'm still going to have to try it this trip though to see the new stuff.

I feel like the left side of matterhorn is rougher than the right lol, but its not to bad if you are sitting in the front, but I did not have an enjoyable time in the back.
