Mattel Aladdin Plush set from 1992

When Aladdin debuted in 1992 Mattel made some plushies to go along with the Aladdin dolls and were later part of Mattel's My Favorite Star plush series. The plushies for Aladdin consisted of a plush Iago Genie and Abu and the first edition versions just had a photo of them on the back while the later editions had a story for each plushie on the back of the boxes. Are these Aladdin Plushies rare and the later versions second editions?
