Matsu No Ma Lounge ??

My parents, DH and I would like to relax and have a beverage at the Matsu no ma lounge. Need a few tips...
A. Do you have to have PS for drinks and appetizers?
B. Can you see Illuminations from inside?
C. What time should PS be for this, if needed?
D. What's the best drink?

I'll answer them in order.

A. You do not need a PS and I have rarely seen this place crowded. My friends like to stop here for a mid-afternoon refreshment, as it's cool, the tempura and sushi are fine, and the view is pretty good.

B. I suppose you can. If you get a window seat you can get a clear view of the lake. You'd have to arrive pretty early though. I'd assume the only time the lounge is crowded is before dinner, as guests with PS's at Teppanyaki wait for tables.

C. See above.

D. Order a cold bottle of sake (cold rice wine). The sake martinis are pretty good too
