can anyone thing of examples of a golden rectangle in everyday life or in your surroundings? the parthenon is an example but we don't have one in our back yard. thanks.
 
IIRC, credit cards have the 1.6? ratio. Or photos.
 
manilla envelopes...would that count as golden?

Of interest to this board... most "widescreen" movies are framed at about 1.85:1 or about 2.40:1. Walt Disney bucked this trend, and framed his widescreen animiated movies at 1:66:1, almost exactly the golden rectangle of 1.62:1.
