Can someone explain the calculations to me? These are the current standings in my son's conference...

I don't understand how ties factor in. Look at the top two teams. #1 has won 3/4 games, so the .750 makes sense to me. #4 has won 2/3 games, so I get .667. But how do you get .75 from 2-0-2 and .625 from 2-1-1?
It's not total points vs possible points? #2 has played four games, so 12 total possible points (3pts for win), but has earned 8 (1pt for each tie). 8/12 =.667.
