I was driving home yesterday with the kids and Material Girl came on the radio. I quietly listened to the song and couldn't believe how BAD that song really is. Back when it was popular, I thought it was such a great song.
My 12 yr. old said, "What kind of song is that? It's lame".

What was I thinking back in the 80's?

GJWTHF was annoying to me when it was popular. I like it now though. It's just a fun happy song and I recently bought it from iTunes. I hated WLAE back then and I still do.

they had the little girls dance to Material Girl, omg between the outfits and choreography, it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen.
If anyone has seen Madonna in the original video, I think its one of the classiest videos she has ever done. Its a take-off of Marilyn, Diamonds are a girls best friend....but in the end, she drives off with a Carradine brother in his beat up old pickup truck.
Very modest(for her) and well done.
