Matching T-shirts for family for cruise?

On our cruise in June there were 31 of us on a family reunion cruise.
We all ordered shirts with our family's name on it from InkPixi. I think it's www.inkpixi.com
They were fast, accurate and not expensive. The shirts looked so good too. We got the "Property of.." shirts w/ our last name on them so we can use them again off the cruise.

I love the tie dye shirts!!! Where on earth did you get them from??

The tie dye shirts came from Etsy. I just went on there and did a search for 'Disney tie dye' and looked to see what we liked. The seller was Pixiecrafts, I believe. Very easy to work w/ and everything.

I also searched it w/ tie spelled tye b/c some people like to spell it like that. ;)

HTHs!:thumbsup2

You should check out the Creative Disigns Forum right here on the Disboards! I think there are some cruise designs that are already made up and can be personalized.

I wish I had thought of looking there before I made our own :( They aren't NEARLY as vibrant colored as yours are :(
And now its too close to sail date to purchase any. Ah well, we'll still match and look fun :)

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but has anyone done anything OTHER than t-shirts? Like hats or bandanas.

We have a large group, 50 some people, 19 cabins going in May 2012. The age range is 5 thru 75 and I though not everyone would like the t-shirt thing.

Thanks

K

I made shirt for all of us to wear the day we boarded. It was very easy getting graphics and making them. There were a lot of people who made matching shirts for there families.:yay:

Many families chose to wear special shirts for their trips. For our Dec. 2010Christmas cruise I ordered a tye dye from onegreatthing on etsy for my 12 year old boy. I found a DCL Santa Mickey shirt on Ebay for the 8 year old boy. And for myself I ordered a rhinestone Mickey head w/Santa hat applique that I ironed on to a black shirt from Target. It wasn't matchy matchy, but everyone loved them. You can get embroidered Mickey heads off either Ebay or etsy & transfer them to any t-shirt. Have fun!:thumbsup2

I have made shirts for our family to wear on the first day of the cruise for the past 2 cruises. I LOVE LOVE LOVE CustomInk. I have used them several times in the past. They have, by far, the best customer service of any company I've ever worked with...

But here's why I know...

I wanted the "scroll" from the front of the ship on a shirt. I found an image online and used "the lab" on the CustomInk site to design the shirt. After I placed the order they emailed me and asked me to call them about the design. They told me I needed to edit the design because Disney is very picky about what they allow people to print. I told them I just grabbed a google image and I had no idea how to edit it. So they did it for me. The resent me the design, the exact same scroll art minus the hidden Mickey heads and a few of the characters. But it still looked amazing, and was obviously way better than I could have done it if I had to do it on my own.

SO if you are looking for a very DISNEY shirt, you may try something else. But if you want something more subtle, or perhaps just cruise related, definitely give CustomInk a shot! :thumbsup2

I apologize for not responding to answered post. It never entered my mind.

I am overwhlemed by so much to learn before taking my first cruise that I have been spending all my time just reading and reading.

In the future I will respond to those answering my questions.

Tip #1: RELAX:cloud9:

It only took you half an hour to come back to your thread. I've been known to post, go out somewhere and come back 8-9 hours later. Its all good:thumbsup2

As for shirts, you will be amazed at how many families feel the urge to dress alike for boarding the ship:rotfl2: Its great:thumbsup2 As to where they get them, the answers are as varied as the shirts themselves.

We tie dyed tee's, dresses, etc. in the same colors to wear when we board the ship. :cheer2:

I will warn you the Creative DISign forum under Walt Disney World on this website is extremely addictive. Be ware. Having said that the DISigners are awesome and quick. I have made shirts for the DCL cruise and WDW. I have made magnets for our cruise door, and I am making a journal by using the creative DISign forum. The stuff I have asked for in that forum have all been personalized. All it cost me was material to make myself and a please and a thank you.

Even if you are getting married in 4 days you can make your matching shirts with time to spare.

My mom and I have embroidery machines, so I found this adorable design that I'm making for our family. Each of us has a different color shirt (black, red, yellow & blue), but they'll all have the same design.

This is the one that I finished for my youngest daughter. I can't wait to see the design on all of the shirt colors.
