I know matching family shirts are common at WDW. We haven't been to DL in almost 5 years and are heading back next month. The kids want to do matching shirts and I think it will be fun. Do ppl do that at DL or is it less common since it is more of a local crowd? We will do it either way bc this is a big trip for us bc we live in Boston. I'm just curious.
Thanks!

Definitely! We do family shirts and always see tons of friends, couples and families in matching or themed outfits and shirts!

There are a lot of clever ones too. I often will see parents wearing ones that say “broke” with Mickey ears on them. Kids have shirts that say “spoiled”.

My favorite was a dad shirt that said “I’m just here to pay for everything #dadlife

We were looking at etsy tonight at all the options! Some of them are very clever!

We have a group of 11 total, but I think probably only 6 of us will do matching most of the time. The 6 are myself, DH, my parents and my sons (9 and 11). My BFF and her boyfriend and 3 kids (7, 10, 11) are coming too. It will be my friend and her family's first Disney trip ever! My friend and I might do Best Friend shirts and I think my mom and I might do mother - daughter shirts (even though I'm 42 and she's 72 lol). I have a feeling I'm going to go nuts spending $$ on etsy tonight!

Have fun! Picking out outfits for disney is part of the fun..expensive but fun :rotfl:

We did! One of the reasons we did it was because it was easier to keep track of everyone. There were 10 of us and looking for bright green shirts when we got separated made life much easier. Also, thankfully we never needed this, but we knew if the kids got separated from us we could easily describe what they were wearing.47062147_10156137806679205_7927691106433630208_o.jpg

My oldest daughter refuses to wear a matching shirt. So naturally I want to give everyone in our family a shirt with a giant picture of her face and lettering that reads “she won’t wear our matching shirt”

If I thought she would be a good sport I would pull the trigger

Matching shirts are very popular and they help keep track of your group. Get creative and have some fun customizing one specifically for your family!

We did matching shirts when the kids were little. Like others have said it made it easy to keep track of everyone in a crowd. Now that I’ve got a teenager, it’s not going to happen 😉

Yep, do get matching shirts. We saw a number of groups of people doing this whilst we visited DL and DCA. Their shirts looked really cool too :)

I don't know how legal these are (and it says they're coming from Bulgaria) but here's a whole variety of non-matching matching shirts.

Most of these matching shirts on Etsy are committing trademark or copyright infringement.

I figured as such. Same for all the mall kiosks. Technically many of the matching shirts are too if Disney was interested in going after anyone.

I know someone who wanted to engrave an official MLB team logo on a cowbell. An engraver said he’d only do it with a letter from the team authorizing it. So he wrote a letter to the team President asking for permission. It was a $1 licensing fee and he said the check was never cashed.
