Matching Family Tshirts

We have done this the last 2 years with 5 and then 6 of us going. Yes it does make it easier to spot each other and the funny part is the people that will just walk by and say "I love all of your shirts" and then you look at them and they all have matching shirts, I love it! We too have been fortunate enough to get the disney logo shirts from online on clearence for $5.00. This year we are going extended family and some friends, we will have 11 of us including a couple of teenage boys that will die when we make them wear em so I keep watching the website and hoping they will put them on sale, can't afford 11 at $14.99. Curious though if I try to make a shirt how do I go about printing off and ironing it, talk to me like I am stupid I really don't mind I just want to know how to do this! Is it cheaper than ordering them already done? Thanks! :flower3:

The shirts may be a little corney but it certainly makes it easy to find one another, and depending on the shirt, looks pretty cool. We were able to order some from disneyshopping.com before our last trip and the were clearance priced at $5 each. We got really fun pix of us with the real Incredibles at MGM.

I love the turquoise ones. Were these pre-printed, or did you do the transfer? If so, where did you find them?

Go on to the Zazzle site they have so many choices & prices and are an authorized Disney dealer.
This past year we had golf shirts made with the year on one line & our initials on the other. We have also had the "ringer" style baseball shirts done which were very cute and another year the extended family came & all the ""girls" received Tink nightshirts & the "boys" Mickey pajama bottoms.

If you have a color printer, it is quite easy. You just buy iron-on transfer paper from Walmart, Target, etc. They are by the printer paper usually. Then open up the image you want to print and print it out. For type of paper, be sure to choose iron-on transfer or any writing will be backwards when you iron it on the shirt. It's easy to iron on; directions will be in the paper, but really it is just iron it on and pull the backing off. Buy cheap shirts from ACMoore or Michael's.

There are posts on the Creative Designs Board here at the Dis where designers will make designs for you.

Unless you get shirts on clearance, making your own in much cheaper--about $1/sheet for transfer paper, $3-$4 for the shirts.

I think they look great! Now if only I could do this..........

Both of these sets of shirts came from Disney. The Incredibles ones were clearances at $5 each at the Disney Store. The others were from disneyshopping.com also for $5. I had additional % off through my Disney Visa, so they were great buys and heavyweight T-shirts. I even loaned them to another family who went and they loved them also.
