Match your mate?

This sounds like such a fun time--how often do they play this? My husband would love this game, but I bet he doesn't have a clue what my bra size is, even after 22 years!!!!

It looks like it is played at least once every cruise. I have looked at as many of the Navigatiors that I could find that people have scanned in on the web, and it has been on every one.
(I don't even WANT to know what my hubby would say if they asked my bra size!):D

When we were onboard last Feb on the Magic, our friends son and DIL were the newleywed contestants. We have the whole show on video....it was just too funny because she is a tiny girl with a very, very, large bust. Her hubby almost died when they asked this question. He muttered...."I am going to get killed for this" The host was getting a kick out it and playing it up all in good fun!!!!

We'll be going on the Dream Oct 2 for our honeymoon (though we got married May 29) and I want to do this game! I'll make sure I wear my bride mouse ears that night. :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh we would definately be up for this one!!! I bet it would be an absolutely scream, weve been married 14 years so we may qualify for the middle one although i will have to prompt my hubby on the bra size details etc or maybe i wont ... it may be very interesting to see what he says!!! :rotfl:

We love this show and never miss it when we cruise.

I'm an introvert but I think I would love to play!

The best way to get on that we've seen so far was to just walk up and sit in the chairs. One man and his new bride did that on our cruise last year and the host was so surprised, he just let them stay!

We'll be on our honeymoon next month, and I'd LOVE to do this!!! I think it would be so much fun! Do they just do this once per cruise or do they play the game more than once? :goodvibes

They only play it once, check your navigators, for us it's usually the first or second night in Rockin Bar D after the show.

The crazier you act, the better chance of being picked (like the couple that just walked up and sat down). I always laugh my head off, but it's usually the couple that's been married the longest that is the funniest!

My husband and I had so much fun playing this! We won as the "newlywed" couple back in 2001. The questions I remember were: "what topping does your husband like to have on his weiner?" ( I was the only one who answered mustard, you can imagine the other answers:laughing:) and "If your spouse was an exotic animal, what would they be?" Of course the question I remember the most is the question someone already discussed about what kind of bird I would be. We both got the question correct ( I was a swallow) but throughout the entire cruise I had strangers calling me "Mrs. Swallow" :scared1: SO embarassing. We even had someone see us in the Orlando Airport and yell it across the terminal! My Hubby still won't let me live that down! We won a bottle of champagne, two gold medals and a celebration cake. I would love to play again this year as we are celebrating 10 years!!:lovestruc

I think it's funny that this thread has been bumped up from who-knows-where and is seven and a half years old - but the answers are still exactly the same!

Probably the only time I can recall when a really old thread actually still has the right answers. I guess it's a game that still works year after year!

We are a same-sex couple and were picked for Match you mate a couple of years ago. The poor cm had all his questions typed and they were gender specific, he/she. He had the hardest time trying to correct them, lol. He really did do a great job. After it was all over, some of the upper cm's came to us to talk about how they did. Were we comfortable? Did anything make us feel slighted? It was really cool on their part and disney's to check up on us like they did.

My DH and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on the 3-9-03 cruise, and I'd love to participate! I guess I'll have to tell him my bra size;) ! Any advice on how to get chosen?

The answers are always more fun when the couples have "NO CLUE" and come up with some crazy and "revealing" answers....

I remember one of the couples; when the husband said the most "Magical place" was in a hot tub at her parents house and the wife said, "in the back of an ATV"; the husband then replied...... "When was that.... I do not remember... I have never been on an ATV..." The wife turned beat red and said; oh no, that was a few years before "us".... Can I say all of the other answers were so funny after that.....

They tend to choose the couple where one seems so far out there and the other a bit more quiet or the ones that the friends are pushing up on stage. The bottom line is they "want a show".... You have to appear to be the type of people who are "show material". If you appear to be two bumps on the log, the answer is "skip them".... They want the couple who has made magic in a tree, not in the King at the Hilton..... You get the picture....

We were on th Magic in Feb 2011. We stumbled on to this by mistake. There was a large group of people that were traveling together. One of he couple from the group got picked. I believe they had been married for 20 year. They ask the question where is the wildest place you ever discovered the " magic". When the husband answered their swimming pool there was a number of groans from their children. I just about fell out of my chair laughing.:rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure that my DH wouldn't even know what kind of sizes bras come in! He'd probably say "medium":rotfl:

Surprisingly, I asked my fiance, and he got the cup size right, but missed by a few inches on the number part. I was surprised that he got it so close. :scared1:

For our Dec 2010 Disboard's PODcast cruise 2.0 there was one one couple that met the married the least amount of time and one couple that clearly made the most amount, but there were lots of couples that met the 10-20 year mark, including my DW and me. The Host asked us to all stand up and get his attention. Well they started music for us to dance too and the wife of the "winning" couple dragged her husband up to the stage, stuck him in the loveseat they use, and proceeded to give him a rather practiced and intense lap dance. :scared1:

Thank goodness that they were terrible players and were not able to match any answers, but they came off as rather boorish and crude, especially the wife.

The winning couple was the least married couple, who happen also be Disboard members and post on the boards frequently.

I totally want to do this game on board. We'd clean house!

We'd be the newlyweds, in that by then we would have only been married a few days/hours (we get married on board), but we've been together for 12 years.

OMG, I was thinking the same thing! This holds the record for unearthed threads from the past. I saw the one response about the 3/9/03 cruise and thought they'd mistyped! Now I want to go watch this. Hoping my kids will be alright staying alone for a little while so DH and I can go out for a little while with the friends who are sailing with us.
