Match Your Mate Game Question

For those of you who have cruised before... how can you increase your chances of being selected for "Match Your Mate" and what types of questions are asked? Just want to gauge whether this is something we would want to try and do.

Where is the most special place you have Shared the MAGIC ?

Stuff like that good clean Fun ..

As Far as being Selected , Make lots of Noise jump up and Down Act a Little Goofy.. and u will have a good chance.. if u want to.. we have decided after 7 cruises just to enjoy the Show.....

On our cruise we were one of only two couples married ten years or more. When they called us up they asked us to do a "dance off". The other couple (dressed in matching Mickey tees, no less) immediately broke into the Roger Rabbit dance. I was five months pregnant and not really one for public humioliation, so we happily conceded the contest.

Oh, so they ask the exact same questions every cruise? LOL

We just got off the Magic last Saturday and they asked the question about where was the most unusual place you found the "magic"

Who would like to LEAVE stranded on a desert island.

Most annoying habit, favourite scent, questions about first dates eg where and how much money was spent ... those types of questions. Some a little risque but not enough to make it uncomfortable for anyone.

They chose couples based on newlyweds, married about 7 or so years and the longest married couple in the room.

we won a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses.
It was a lot of fun. Plus, when they take you off stage so your spouse can answer questions, they buy you a drink at the bar.
We were the closest thing to newlyweds on our cruise! we were just 2 weeks shy of our 7 year anniversary! All I did was raise my hand, since there was no competition we got on. DH could not believe I raised my hand.

gulp! no competion and you were 7 years. we'll be 4 days post-WDW Wedding, and the misses wants to do this. i'm just worried that some of the more risque questions might be a little embarrasing. other than the "share the magic" questions, it seems like fun.

Okay, I just have to share a little story here.
They usually ask the question about "The most interesting place you discovered the 'magic'" every time, and I've heard some great responses, from in a car with a boy scout troop hiking past to the deck 7 aft verandah! But the one that really sticks out was a young Mormon couple honeymooning on the ship. Their answer was "Our stateroom," as they had indeed waited until marriage! I think that was even more shocking to most of the audience than the couple who said, "The parking lot at Six Flags."

There was nothing too risque when we watched Match your Mate in December. It was good clean adult fun. Another example, "what is the first thing your husband touches in the morning." The newly wed wife (still in her wedding gown) answered his bite guard, which the hubby wore at nite to protect his teeth from grinding. He answered back correctly. Another woman said "me" b/c her hubby always gave her a hug in the morning. The third gal did say his you know what. . . . .

I don't think it was to risque. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

I got to meet two of the three couples later in our cruise. They both seemed to enjoy the experience.

hAm53 -- Do not fret! We were also Disney honeymooners just coming from our WDW wedding and were one of 3 other couples who had just gotten married. We didn't raise our hands to be part of the show, but had a really fun time watching the other couples get into some "hot" water if they got the answer wrong. The one question that got the couples in the most trouble was "which relative in HER family would you most like to leave on a deserted island". Probably a good idea to plan THAT question ahead of time!
