Master's degree...am I wrong to be put out?

I am the first to get a Master's, not the first to graduate from college. It was made a big deal of when I got my B.A. at 28yo as a single mom, partly b/c I was the first woman in my family to graduate, partly b/c of the circumstances. Grad school is certainly not an expectation and no one else in the family seems to be heading that direction at this point. FWIW, I did not say that everyone in my family has graduated from college, just that I did receive announcements when those who did finished.

You could explain yourself till the cows come home, and there would still be ignorant high and mighty morons that would tell you that isn't what you said, implied or meant and that you were wrong no matter what. Some of these people need to step on others to make themselves feel better about their pathetic little lives. Give it not another thought. As I said twice before, I will say it again;

I hope whatever is bothering you gets better, but there was no reason for you to bump this thread and insult the people who posted here. Most of us were not rude, but you seem to have some serious issues going on.

That is fine. I think you need to read what you posted. It was very nasty-my post was not.

The op was asking for opinions. Most of us gave them to her in a reasonable way. The last post was 3 days ago. Why would you bump a thread that was pretty much dead just to insult the people on it?

I don't generally report posts, and won't this one either, but do whatever you feel you need to do.

I read my comments and stand by them . Many of the comments were rude, condescending and insulting. I was referring to them. Your post was certainly rude and uncalled for and directed at one person. You ask me if I have a problem? Where do you not think that is rude?
