My A/C unit started icing over today. Based on recommendations from the board I called Master RV Mobile Repair. He said he couldn't come out till tomorrow, I said OK just give me a call when you're ready to come this way. He called a few hours later, asked a few questions and trouble shot the problem over the phone.

Great guy and above and beyond service, I was very impressed. Thanks for the recommendation!

that's GREAT! glad to hear there is good service still available out there. :)

If he really solved your problem I think I would call him back and tell him you want to send him like $50 since he was so helpful and you just feel it's the right thing to do. He has bills and costs and you needed service which he gave and deserves to be paid for that.

Doing this will only make him more receptive to others in need.

Word of mouth on this board will get him more business than the mere $50 you say he should give the man. Just ask Kenny of Tee Time golf carts. I would bend over backwards and tell the world from a megaphone how wonderful Kenny was. I bet Mr. Packer would do the same on any occasion to anyone who would listen for this business. That is worth gold to a business member. Word of mouth brings in business. I am sure he would appreciate you calling him and sending him $50 though.:lmao:

Well he's already gotten the word of mouth in just this thread. The amount of what you IMO should offer it up to you, but $50 will buy quite a few Mickey D lunches for a family with little ones and is probably about 1/2 of the actual service call before any work is done so I think my suggestion is totally reasonable, but you don't so ....:confused3

I've used Master RV Mobile Repair before and thought he was great. Fast service and very reasonable prices. I agree with Larry, sending $50 his way would be a nice thing to do. He could have just come out and charged you to do what he told you about over the phone.

Is that the name of the RV repair, Master RV Repair? Nothing comes up when I do a search in the area. Will someone PM me if you have the contact info? I'm always looking for good RV service people.

I'm sure thanks were given over the phone at the appropriate time. I would probably send a gift card to Olive Garden or something similar in a thank you card - AND - talk this guy up to anyone who cries for help while at the Fort. Word of mouth is the very BEST advertising any business can get.

The guy I used was Master RV Mobile Repair. I'm assuming it was the same people that the OP was talking about. Their number is 407-348-0862.

Gee Larry, don't be so thick. The point of my previous post is that better wording would probably been appreciated by the OP. You weren't suggesting anything, you were practically commanding it. You actually had a GOOD suggestion. ;) (I am sure the guy would still appreciate you still sending him the 50 bucks!:lmao:)

Yes same guy and I'm way ahead of you guys in taking care of him for his service.

So happy you got your problem fixed. I will definatly keep them in mind. The last thing you want is to have issues while on vacation.

You did him a favor by not insisting that he come out that day. My DH is a HVAC service tech. There has been many of weekends were he did not have time ( so many calls) to get to everyone. He has also helped people trouble shoot over the phone. He feels really bad when he has to charge someone, the company's $125 after hours fee just to come out and do something very simple ( change batteries in thermostat). Not to mention DH says campers are the biggest pain in the butt to work on. But I am sure he would appreciate the tip. They don't get them as often as they should.

Because we are doughy Northerners, it is reassuring that there are so many qualified HVAC people in Florida, you dont even want to know how ugly I can get if I dont have AC while in Florida......;)

Below is my initial reply and I think is was a suggestion of what I would do, but you obviously didn't read it that way and I can see no way that this "COMMANDED" anything be done, just what I think I would do.

The post you quoted was to the following post calling the $50 MERE and suggesting I should send him the $50 since you thought $50 was :confused3

Somethings never change, like talking to brick walls. You always walk away wondering why you bothered in the first place.

LMAOROTF :lmao: You are like our current President, when caught in trying to look like he knows what is happening like in the oil debacle in the Gulf with his absurd statements of accountability and such ... change the topic or try and redirect it, add something negative and then don't address the issue or what is being talked about and exit quickly w/o answering any questions.

Wow, that could have been the same statement about a past president in a different gulf..

I don't think we are talking about a peddler on the street that will work for food. Five minutes of phone time = $50.00 bucks? Thats better than most lawyers. I would be on the phone for two hours before reaching that appreciation gratitude. Of course my two hours wouldn't be some advice on the phone, it would be a little more physical. I must be in the wrong field. I KNOW I'm in the wrong field. :headache:

Jen for President! pixiedust:

She would kick the crap out of BP :scared:..and personally shove their CEO down that hole to plug up the leak!::yes:: I'm quite sure of it! :thumbsup2
(I'd watch out if I were you Larry...)

Is this getting too political?....:rotfl:
