I thought I’d create a MA DVC members board since it seems like there are many of us here in the Dis forums. It might be fun and informative to have our own little space to chat about upcoming trips and everything DVC,

Interested because we're DVC owners who used to live in Massachusetts, and I still consider it home. However, we don't live there now.

Welcome, SM1992! Happy to have you join. Heck! I just realized that I didn't share anything about myself. In 2002, bought my first contract - minimum # of points at BCV - directly from Disney. Since then, I've added on at BCV and purchased points at SS and OKW. Even so, I never seem to have enough points. LOL! I was at SS last month and was scheduled to stay til the day the resorts were closing but I chose to leave a day earlier. It was very eerie then. I have another trip planned in mid-June; fingers crossed that it'll happen.

Maistre Gracey, initially I thought that I'd start a New England group of DVC owners. This group is primarily for like-minded DVC owners to share tips, stories, info, camaraderie, etc. meaning that you're welcome to join, too.

Isn't that a requirement to live in Massachusetts? And you must think Tom Brady is next to God. I remember going to Church with Mom (who still lives there) and during the open-mic prayer time, someone asked that we all pray for the Patriots game that day. The Minister was NOT pleased, but she contained herself.

Hi! We're from MA. Resale pts, grandfathered in so we get most of the benefits! Bought 250 pts at OKW in 2008 and 100 pts at BWV in 2014.

Heh we once had a priest in his homily compare Jesus to Doug Flutie. He then threw a football to the choir in the balcony. It’s probably the only homily I remember!

We aren’t DVC members but are from Massachusetts. My uncle and aunt have been DVC members at BCV since the 90s I believe. We were going to rent points and stay with them this April. But other things got in the way! We’re all going next April instead.

LOL! While I am not a sports fan - altho I am related to a couple of fanatics - I am not surprised to hear your story about Church. Of course, I root for the home teams but most of what I know about any of them is learned from TV news and newspapers.

MA owner here- bought BWV resale in 2017 and BRV in 2018. Was suppose to go for our April vacation and stay at the Riviera. Have a quick trip for July (hopefully) (BCV) and pushed our April trip to Thanksgiving- have BRV booked for 4 days bc that is all I can book and will probably switch to OKW or Saratoga at the 7 month mark in a few weeks. I live close to Gillette so everything is Tom Brady x 10000 or shall I say everything use to be!

Anyone optimistic that DW will be open?

Welcome DonDiegoDeLaVega! I, too, am scheduled to visit in June. However, since the Governor of FL just called for Floridians to stay home (starting on Friday) and he has excluded religious services from his order, I am thinking that WDW will not be open at that time. Hoping that I am wrong but an educated guess probably is that I am right. Hope springs eternal!

Yay! So excited we have an MA group!! I bought OKW resale in 2008 then sold it when we bought BLT direct when DVC had the big event in Boston. That event was so great. Recently bought some CCV points resale. DH & I have a quick trip planned for September but that is going to change. Our son was supposed to leave for Army boot camp last week and that’s delayed a month because of the current conditions. We had planned on a quick visit after his graduation from boot camp but now don’t know when that will be.

Also very sad about Tom Brady‘s departure makes me very anxious for the upcoming football season.

Thanks, but we got smart on both fronts... we left New England and sold our DVC (nothing negative about DVC, it was just no longer a fit for us for a few reasons).
