I was out earlier and it was NASTY! The snow was coming down at a good clip and accumulating rather quickly. Driving and visibilty was the pits. I'm almost hoping for a snow day tomorrow..

Any recent forecasts???

Jill

This looks like a pretty big storm thru tomorrow. I'm betting on a snow day. :Pinkbounc

Snowday in the Berkshires. That's a definite! :earseek:

I think it depends on where in MA you are. Anyone west of Worcester is most probally going to have a snow day, as well as most of the area east and north of rt. 95 as that should be icy if not snowy in the am. The area south of 95 is the question I think. I am in Taunton and we are supposed to switch over to rain between 6 and 8 pm. Hopefully it stays raining because I am not sure what to do about work if I can't get there in the AM.. .I work in Warwick RI.

I'm here in the north western part of Mass. I'd say it's a pretty good chance that schools will be cancelled tomorrow. Of course, I didn't tell my DS that as he now attends the local community college and I wanted him to finish his art project that's due tomorrow. I doubt even the colleges around here will be open! Now I'm hoping that my employer will cancel for tomorrow!

Here in the boston area its snowing at a good clip right now and hopefully will be turning to rain in a few hours!!!

My mom talked to her friend out in the Northampton area and there wasalready 6 inches of snow and stil coming down at a good clip too!!

Here in Central Mass still snowing. DCherubs are praying and doing snow dances and anything else they can think of to get themselves a snow day. I on the other hand am hoping they go. Uggh I will have to take a day off if they have it off and I am saving vacation time for trip next week! I just started working there in June and am still building time.

Im in Woburn, right along 128, and I was wondering the same thing. Im guessing we will at least have a delay if not a day off. But then again, you never know.

I had to drive from Woburn to Chelsea at 5pm It took me over 45 mins. And I passed 2 accidents.

My kids are asking if I think it will be called off, I said dont count on it, it is supposed to turn to rain near Boston, so it may not be to bad for us.

I live in Warwick and it switched from snow to rain about an hour ago. The temp here is now 34. DH has been watching the rain/snow line and it's moving northward so folks in southeaster MA should have rain soon...and it won't change back to snow.

Right now in the Northampton area (i'm visiting my parents) the snow is just coming and coming...the wind is not nice either. I just spoke to my roommate and she says that there is lots of snow in the Westborough area and that they haven't started plowing yet. snow days are nice.

of this storm and they are predicting for us .....anywheres from 12- 24 inches of that stuff......yuck.....it started an hour ago and it has already accumulated enough

We should have had a meet! :D Are you from Woburn?

My DS out at UMass Amherst says there is more than 6 inches of snow and snowing heavily. He hasn't seen any snowplows yet. At least he got to the dining hall by follwing in the snowy footsteps of those who went before. We have about 4 inches north of Boston and still snowing.

I'm on the south shore and it is raining now. I'm hoping there is school tomorrow.

My kids are hoping! I think it switched over to sleet before the forecasters thought it was going to. We have about 4 inches on the ground.

Southern Vermont here, on the mass line........still a blizzard outside my house...getting ready to warm up the tractor to start movin snow out of my neighbors driveways...

My DD's wont be going tomorrow- even if the school says yes...the hill we live on is NEVER ready on a Monday after a late Sunday storm.

I'm on the south shore too and just checked the WBZ web site and it says for both of my DSs school that there's been no report so I assume that means they have school, as of now. They're hoping it blizzards overnight. lol We did get about 7" of snow this afternoon but once it turned to rain it cleared the streets up. The 7" of snow is STILL in my driveway though. I'm hoping it doesn't freeze into one large block of ice overnight.

We're going home to MA for Christmas, and ds (9) is hoping that some of the snow holds out for our visit. He has his heart set on playing in the snow over Christmas break!
