Hello :tigger:!

Trying to find somewhere nearby to attend mass either Saturday evening or Sunday morning for our girls trip in late September. Where do you recommend? As of now, we are booked for Art of Animation and we are looking for somewhere close to that.

Thank you. :earsgirl:

I actually go to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration when I go. It's much easier to get in and out of. The one time I went to Mary Queen of Universe it took an hour to get to DS from there because of the traffic. I stayed at AoA and it was a easy trip over there with Uber.

+1 for Corpus Christi in celebration. We have done both. Mary Queen of the Universe is a beautiful huge church, but the traffic getting in and out will eat up lots of time. Tip for Corpus Christi in celebration. Get there 10-15 minutes early to find parking and a seat, otherwise you will need to stand in the back. But once you finish it will be no trouble getting back to WDW. This is especially true for the Saturday Night Mass. The only exception is if you go to Mary Queen of the Universe for the earliest Sunday Morning Mass. The roads will be deserted early Sunday morning.

When are you going? I know currently due to Covid you have to RSVP at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration and the Basilica at Mary Queen of the Universe is closed until August 15th.

You might check to see who is offering online services and watch on your computer/tablet in your resort room. My partner has been really happy with the quality of the production of the live service he has been watching at home. His parents who live in a different state have been watching the same one because its so much better than their local church can offer and it gives them a shared service to chat about afterwards. We don't have any in-person options where we live right now and its doubtful there will be any in-person ones locally by early fall either. The parking lots ones might get more popular in the fall, but right now the weather is too hot and humid for those to be appealing to much of the local congregation.
