Please excuse all the typos. I caught some as I read this again but I am sure there are more in there.

The next morning Mike and Marlee Anne made their mug run while I got the girls and myself ready. We met Renee at Epcot. Visited with her for just a bit before heading off. We decided since we met her early that morning we would head over to MGM. We walked to the International Gateway and caught the boat over to Epcot. It was a wonderful ride and Marlee Anne was very excited. On the way over to the IG the park was empty. Marlee Anne stopped by the fountain and really enjoyed that. We stopped and took pictures along the way. Right before we got to the IG there was a squirrel that decided to play around the girl’s chairs. The girls loved that. Marlee Anne started trying to catch it. I remembered I had the video camera so I grabbed it to get some of it on tape. It was nice to have that on the boat ride to get some of the resorts on tape.

Once we got to MGM we headed over to Playhouse Disney. They were already opening the doors so we just asked the CM what time we needed to be there for the next show so that the girls could be seated up front. They put the girls wheelchairs over to the side front so they don’t block the other guest view but the girls can still see. The CM checked and said they had room then. Perfect timing. It was so much fun to see the girls faces and hear them laughing. Marlee Anne enjoyed dancing along with the show.

We had not had breakfast except for Mary Elizabeth and Michala having their oatmeal with their meds so we decided to have an early lunch. We love the 50’s Primetime Café so we decided to see if we could get in then. I didn’t make any priority seating this trip so we weren’t sure what we would be able to do. We had no problem getting in. Since my mouth was still giving me problems, even though you wouldn’t have known that last night when I ate all that pie, I decided to have the fried cheese. It was delicious. Nothing like I had ever had. It was very soft cheese battered and fried. It looked like a crab cake. It was served over spinach leaves with raspberry dressing and bread with raspberry sauce. It was very different and very tasty. I had really been wanting to try the caramel sundae so I was sure to save room for that. Mike had a club sandwich that was huge. He said it was very good. The girls love the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese there.

Diaper change time so we headed over by The Animation tour. I like this area because it’s never to crowded. Plus there is a changing table in the men’s room and Mike takes them all to change them. It’s a nice break for my back. We decided to see if Lilo and Stitch were doing pictures. Stitch was the only one back there. He was wonderful!!! Michala really enjoyed looking at his hand and touching it. Mary Elizabeth laughed and smiled at him and Marlee Anne was glad to give him kisses.

We headed down to see Mickey since it was right there. We stopped on the way to see Minnie but she was about to go in and Max was coming out. We decided to go ahead and go over and see Mickey. He was great! Very nice to squat down so the girls could see him. Sometimes the characters aren’t able to see the girls in their wheelchairs and don’t realize they are there. We try to make sure to push them in front of the characters or mention to them nicely that they girls are there. Marlee Anne is good about making herself known by hugging them.

I didn’t realize what time it was so we had to rush to get over to see Beauty and The Beast show. They were already sitting people when we got there but the CM at the top said there was seating available down front. When we got down to the bottom the CM told us we could go over to the other side but she would have to get the guest in the wheelchair to move. The guest that was already there was in a Disney wheelchair and was stretched out and we couldn’t get the girls wheelchairs by. The CM asked the person with the guest to move the wheelchair sideways so we could get by. The guest told the CM no so there was no way for us to get by. There was no place for us to sit with the girl’s wheelchairs. I was upset. Mainly with myself for not timing that better. So we had to make the long trek back up the incline without the girls even getting to see the show. Mike said why don’t you go ride Rockin’ Roller Coaster. I was so ill I just said no.

It was a good thing because we wanted to be back at Epcot to meet our friends for the Masquerade show at 2:55. We got there as the earlier show was finishing up. The King was in front of Italy and spotted Michala. Michala was so excited to see him. I had the video camera and began to film them together. The other cast members saw we were there so they pushed the girls in their wheelchairs over to the side. I was so glad to have the video camera but it was hard not to take lots of pictures. We noticed the Queen was not there. We were not sure why but would soon find out why there was no Queen that day.

While we were waiting for the next show we got to visit with Greeter Jen. We have formed a special bond with her in a very short amount of time. We share our love for scrapbooking along with Disney. While we were talking Michala reached in and pulled out one of the beautiful plants from the pot beside her. Dirt went everywhere. Jen got a broom to clean it up. Since I wasn’t quick enough to stop Michala in the act or much less get a picture of it, I took a picture of Jen cleaning it up so I could put it in the scrapbook. In just a little while our friends showed up. We had just met them on our last trip and quickly formed a bond with them. It was sad to say goodbye to them because we were not sure when we would see them next. The show was as always spectacular.

After it was over we headed to Morocco to see The Genie. He wasn’t there when we got there so we visited with Jasmine for a while. Our wonderful CM friend Emmy was there. Mike told Marlee Anne to go over and get in line. Emmy of course said oh no you don’t. She got Michala and pushed her right up front. That was very nice of her but it made us feel bad. The mother of the child that was next was very upset with us. I told her thank you several times but she continued to make faces at us. She was not pleased at all. When we got finished Emmy told us to go outside and she would be there soon. When she took Jasmine back to rest she said she would be back in a little while with The Genie. While we were waiting for the Genie CM Teresa walked up and said oh our Masquerade angels. We had met her in December and she was very helpful to us. It was good to see her again and visit with her. In just a little while Genie was there. Words cannot express this meet and greet. The Genie was amazing!!! We have wonderful wonderful pictures and priceless memories. When Michala saw him she turned her head to look at him. He turned his head to look at her. The interaction was amazing. I am running out of words to tell you just how wonderful it was. Marlee Anne was trying to hug him but he was determined to see Michala and Mary Elizabeth first. VERY NICE!!! Mary Elizabeth just smiled that “I love you” smile to him. She knows that she is loved by him! OK it was Marlee Anne’s turn. He scooped her up with one swift motion and Marlee Anne was in love. After taking pictures and drawing a great self-portrait in their autograph book he had other guest to see. He jumped up on the garbage can to sit. When there was no more guest he started to run away. Emmy got on to him and she and Marlee Anne went off hand in hand to catch him. He made the loop before they even got away and he snuck up on them. It was so funny. I didn’t get the video camera out in time. When he got back he sat on the ground and motioned for Marlee Anne to come over to sit in his lap. She was getting very sleepy and was almost asleep from him rocking back and forth with her in his arms. Priceless pictures!!!

After saying our goodbyes we decided to see if we could get into Canada to eat. No such luck. Marlee Anne was asleep in my arms so we got the girls some mashed potatoes to go from Canada and headed back over to China to eat. We had a nice dinner there. Someone beside us order Peking duck. I had never seen it served before. The waiter brought it out on a serving cart and carved it at their table. There was lots of meat left on the duck. He mainly gave them the skin. Why is that? Anyone that knows anything about Peking duck would you please share.

Well the inevitable had come. It was time for our last Masquerade show. I had a sick feeling in my stomach. I prayed that I could make it through until the end. I wanted to say goodbye, walk away and then cry. We got there just as the show before the last one was starting so we watched it. Mike went to get Marlee Anne a hamburger and fries since she slept while we ate. We all sat there while she ate. Mary Elizabeth was tired of being in her wheelchair so Mike held her. As soon as the music for the next show started the tears began to flow. Greeter Jen started crying. I was thinking that since Renee was not there with us that it would be easier. Well Jen didn’t help any. The cast even started crying. Lucky for them their tears were hidden by their mask. Michala started having a seizure. I honestly believe she knew this was the last show we would see. It was a strong one so I held her until she was almost finished. Queen Elizabeth came over to see if she could dance with her. She is absolutely one of the most loving and caring people we have ever met. The King waited patiently for his turn to love on her. He was very concerned about her. He got her and took her up on stage with him for the finish of the show. Now we knew why there wasn’t a Queen that day. It was meant for Michala to be his queen. She knows she is truly loved by him and feels very safe with him. Tudor Man pulled me to the side and got Harlequin to come over for pictures. They both have such huge and loving hearts and truly have a special place in our hearts. Venetician and Perot made sure Mary Elizabeth and Marlee Anne were well taken care of and loved. I love to stand back, take pictures and take all the interaction in. This time it was so hard and my heart was truly breaking. We had pictures made with them at the end. We hugged everyone, cried even more and said our goodbyes. The King picked me up and hugged me. I say that because I am not a little person. He is very tall and obviously very strong. It was a very emotional ending to a very special and memorable day. We missed Renee being there and also Renaissance Man.

As Mike and I walked away we were very quiet. It took us a quite a while before we could say anything. He asked would we still come to Epcot when we came to Disney. It’s funny because Masquerade quickly became our reason to visit Epcot. Mike often distances himself from people. Not to be rude, stuck up or uncaring. When he starts to get close to someone like our friends at Masquerade he becomes very emotional. His heart is bigger than I can imagine. Mary Elizabeth and Michala have made it very tender. When he sees the girls being loved in such a special way his heart melts and it flows out his eyes. He is a very special man that I am so thankful for. I wish Masquerade could have heard his words after the show and the quiet time we spent just relishing those wonderful moments.

We stopped by Mouse Gears on the way out. I wanted to see if there was any new scrap booking stuff and to check out the new Potato Head pieces. We made it back to the van and headed back to our room.

Our windows at the resort were filled with towel animals. The girls were so excited to see them! Got everyone settled in and Mike and I sat down to watch the slide show of the day’s pictures. We laughed at the pictures with the Genie and cried once again when we saw Masquerade.

Prime Time Cafe!

It was one of our most memorable dinners (for me at least)

Oh! I know who you are! The guy who most recently played the Fancy King is one of my boyfriend's best friends. He has a screensaver on his computer of photos of Masquerade with a family with special needs children. :) Your family must be very special to them.

OH MY GOODNESS! We have to talk! Is he the one who always plays the Fancy King or is he the one who recently played the Fancy King and usually plays another part? If he is the one who always plays it then I talked to him Saturday right before their last show. I have a picture of both of them so you will have to point him out. Is this the picture he has as his screensaver? This is one of my favorite pictures. They are VERY special to us!!!

:) I believe he was the main Fancy King for the last 6 months. He was there all the time. His name is Zach. His screensaver is a whole series of pics but I'm not sure if the one you showed is on there. I think the children were wearing yellow.

heart warming reports I have ever read......thanks so much for making this day to me so special.......hugs and bless you all and the cast too

Thank you so much for that soul touching report!!! Makes you realize the important things in life.

I hope you shared that story with WDW. They need to know how much it meant to you. I am sure it would inspire Cast Members if they knew how much their efforts are appreciated.

I always try to send a letter to WDW complimenting the wonderful CMs we run into. They are so amazing!!!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments.

AngieBelle, Zach quickly won our hearts! He is an awesome person!!!
