It probably happened after your September cruise. Looks like starting the week of September 20th it became optional for crew.Have the crew been allowed to go without masks at any time during the past year?
On our 3 cruises this past year (March, June and September) on 3 different ships, the crew were required to wear masks. Many did not like it and it was hard understanding sometimes. I had not heard that DCL changed the mask policy with respect to crew members, mask optional has been only for guests as far as I know.
Our server wore a mask for the October 31 Bermuda cruise, but only a few of the other crew members did. So, I guess they're optional. It probably happened after your September cruise. Looks like starting the week of September 20th it became optional for crew.
Thanks for the Update! I am sure many of them were happy to talk freely with guests. It probably happened after your September cruise. Looks like starting the week of September 20th it became optional for crew.
Yes..that is why I said the week of 9/20 it became optional (that was in my comment you quoted)Our server wore a mask for the October 31 Bermuda cruise, but only a few of the other crew members did. So, I guess they're optional.
no problem, I remember it because the testing requirements based on vaccination status changed right around there too and it both were like sudden changes. Thanks for the Update! I am sure many of them were happy to talk freely with guests.
Yup I wear a mask got the flu once and rather not since I know I have Lupus these days. And haven’t been sick sinceIts cold and flu season. The crew are just being cautious. Lots of people wear masks without being forced to.
