Mashed potatoes at Le Cellier?

Can you still substitute mashed potatoes for the rissoto? I'm not a mushroom fan and don't see mashed potatoes listed as a side with any entrees on their current menu. But wondered if they can make their loaded mashed potatoes unloaded for a side. Thanks.

You can ask, but since mashed potatoes are not listed as a side for any other entree, it might not be allowed. The Loaded Mashed Potatoes are on the Side Dish section of the menu with a separate price point. As far as potatoes as a side, there are fingerling potatoes and french fries (on the kids menu) listed that could be subbed for the risotto without an additional charge.

OP - Yes, you can! I did it on December 3rd. The server didn't offer, I had to ask. I got the steak that should have come with mushroom risotto. I don't like mushrooms and I asked if I could get anything else. She said I could get some mixed vegetables in place of the mushroom risotto. I asked if I could get some kind of potato, and she said she could give me mashed potatoes. They weren't loaded or anything, but they were good and they weren't mushroom risotto! No extra charge. Ask!

We were there in November and were happily surprised that the mashed potatoes were a substitution option in place of the risotto. They were delicious, by the way!!! And the filet was outstanding also!!! By the way, even though it is not on the adult menu, you are also able to get the chocolate mousse for dessert

Thank you guys. Glad to hear first hand and recently that they can do this. I was going to get the loaded potatoes if I had to. Looking forward to my meal in 46 days. Yum
