Mary Poppins?

So we leave next week for Disneyland!! Woohooo!!!!!

My five year old son just watched Mary Poppins for the first time (and many times since!) and LOVES Mary Poppins.

Can you still find her and Bert in the park? Do they still ever do shows like they used to?

They are often out in Town Square or by Coke Corner for meets and usually are in the 10am band show at the main gate if they are there that day and a show in front of the castle...maybe at 12 and 1?

I've also seen them come and go a lot by the CM entrance exit near the corn dog wagon on Main Street. We hang out there a lot for the baby care center.

It's been over a year now, but it seems they were in a parade, or did their own show on Main Street with a band. Be sure and take your son to eat at Holly Jolly Bakery!

I have seen them in DL a lot recently near main street and Mary Poppins is WONDERFUL! I hope you can find them Have a great trip!

Ask a character host on Main Street while you are there. They should be able to tell you if she is there, and if so, what time and where she will be out.

Is Bert with her often? I've never met Bert or the penguins.

Bert is often with her, but not always. The Penguins are very very rarely out...we've never seen them but I think one was out one day a month or so ago...

Your best bets are to look near the coke corner area throughout the day. She performs with Bert and the Pearly Band Thursdays through Mondays at the castle forecourt at 1 & 2 ( blah blah subject to cancellation blah blah)

Also she and Bert appear in Mickeys Soundsational parade. Good luck!

We love Mary! I hope we can catch her. There are numerous places at WDW where you can find her, but we missed her on our last trip. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Since Michael Colgalzier took over as President of Disneyland in 2013, "Disney" entertainment has been diminished. He tried to make it more like the stale and dull DW Animal Kingdom that he came from as VP, with little regard to the beloved DISNEY Characters and Traditions. He has taken out the Heart of Disneyland. This summer he removed many Face Characters and several Costumed Characters from the Park. Laying off many Character Performers. Due to many Guest complaints, some have been returned (Capt Hook, Fairy God Mother, etc.) The previous President, George Kalogridis did a great job in continuing the Disney Magic, Mike Colgalzier only looks at short term dollars and improved quarterly reports. Not Guest happiness.

Back to Mary and Bert.
The normal schedule is 10am at entrance, several times at the Coke Corner, 1:00 and 2:00 show with Pearly Band at the Castle.
Then sometimes another meet at the Coke Corner (depending on Parade time). Then they are the last group in the Soundsational Parade.

You will probably never see this again with the current management...

We met them in February, 2013, at Coke Corner. They were both really fun -- my son LOVED meeting them!

Just got back from our week long trip the other day We saw Mary TWICE without even trying to (which is great for my 4 y/o son, who loves her!) First time around noon we were sitting down the alley by the corn dog cart, eating corn dogs, when she and Bert came out. We followed them over to where they stopped out in front of Jolly Holiday Bakery for their Meet n' Greet.

Second time we were exiting Astro Orbiters and Mary came traipsing by herself towards the castle for the band performance so followed her a bit. She took a liking to my son while we walked and so asked him to dance with her during the Chimney Sweep song (she asks for 4-5 kid volunteers). It was so wonderful!

Good luck finding her! She's well worth the effort to look around.

We saw Mary at Coke Corner! We were there mid Sep! Funny story.. I was there just trying to get a picture of her. Then my husband came over to get a pic with me and Mary. A nice older gentleman offered to take our picture using my phone... he was having a hard time with it. I then asked my husband where our kids were to take the picture and he had "lost" them(they are 12 and 13yo). He then admitted to Mary Poppins that he was not such a great dad and he needed Mary Poppins in his life Then we spotted our kids who kindly took our picture!

I am not aware of any shows they are in but they are in the Soundsational Parade every day!

Last time I was there I saw Mary by Jolly Holiday by the wait times board. It was close to opening I think. Sadly I no longer have that photo because I lost my phone right after that and didn't see her again.....
