Do you sell it or know anyone who does? I am considering selling just to get the 50% discount. Is there a minimum selling amount per month? Per quarter? Thanks so much!

You have to order at least once a year. You will go "inactive" in you don't order every six months (I believe) but won't get cut completely until a year. I believe the minimum order to get 50% discount is $400 retail.

I sold years ago for that same reason but regretted my decision and got out of it about 6 months later. Between what I had to pay for the consultant starter kit that had loads of shades I could never use, I lost money.

Now I buy the MK products I use on ebay for less than half the cost. There are many consultants out there looking to get out and just want to unload their inventories. I can usually buy the foundation for $3 per tube plus $2 or $3 for shipping compared to the retail price which is around $15.00.

Don't do it! I tried that route as well and it ended up costing me more!

No, can get away purchasing only $200 wholesale ($400 retail) a year, but it has to be all in 1 order. Let's say you order tomorrow a $200 wholesale order. Your 50% discount would be good for the rest of Jan, Feb and March. However, on April 1st, IF you needed to order, you would need to, again, buy $200 wholesale to get your discount. But you don't have to order that often, as long as you order within 12 calendar months (in this example by Dec 31, 2011), and order $200 wholesale -you are good. Remember, shipping is $8 or $9 an order and you must pay sales tax for the retail value (not just wholesale).

I buy through another 'personal use' consultant who allows me to help her reach her quotas at cost. I buy about $200 wholesale a year through her and if she chose to get out, I would return to MK as a personal use consultant. I save lots of money this way by getting consultant samples. For example, Microderm kit is $55 retail, or $27 wholesale. But I can buy a sample packs for $2 each and if I buy $8 worth of samples = full size product quantity! I like buying through her so I can get the quarterly special edition products without buying another $180 worth of stuff I don't need

Ebay is a cheap source, but I have found the products to be old. Might still be 'good' but, I don't like anything to put anything on my face that is over 2 years old (google for manufacturing date code stamped on all MK products).

I have a friend that sells MK just for the discount. She does sell it to friends and family, but gives them the same discount as she gets just so she can meet the minimum quota. Sounds like it would be more hassle than it's worth - but I'm appreciative!
