This is our last full day. Decide to go to Kona cafe 1 more time, I just love their
French Toast. We explored the Poly. a little, then took the footpath over to the
Ticket & Transportation Center and caught a bus to Downtown Disney. We saved our
last day for our major shopping. We finally found our red, white, and blue Mickey pins, these
things are like gold, ever since Sept. 11 the stores can't keep them in stock. We got lucky
and found them at the big World of Disney store in the Marketplace, but you have to ask
for them, they are not out like the rest of them. I spent some more in the Xmas store, and in the home store I bought a mickey cookie Jar, and salt and pepper shakers, we picked up a few
shirts for ourself and the ever important dogsitter, the its off to luch at RFC, they have a new
expanded menu. I had a BBQ chicken wrap, it was very yummy, Dave had his usual, some kind
of steak. During lunch I accidentaly knocked over one of my package and broke my Mickey ears
off my salt and pepper shakers, but they were very accommodating at the home store and let
me exchange them. We headed back to CR to start to get packed up for our trip home tomorrow. It really cooled off today, to chilly to swim. There was another Halloween party that
night, so we decided to catch the fireworks from our balcony. First we got to watch the
electric water pagent over at the Poly. resort, then the fireworks started, WOW what a show,
this was the best fireworks show I've ever seen, it was even extended over the seven seas lagoon, was entire sky was lit up as far as we could see. It was a perfect end to a perfect vacation.
Day 8 ( Homeward bound)
We had breakfast at Concourse one last time. By now we have gotten to know Joan, a very nice waitress very well. She gave me her Contemporary 30th birthday pin that was only given
out to the employees. After breakfast we still had time before our driver picked us up, so we
decided to take one last lap on the monorail. From the first night we saw the Electric water pagent Dave had it in his mind he was going to find out where is was kept during the day, and he did, he spotted it in a service canal between the GF and the MK. He was so proud of himself when he found its hidding spot (It must be a man thing).haha......
By the time we got back it was time to head downstairs, our driver George from Your Ride was
already there waiting for us. We were taken back to the airport. I just wanted to add that the
service they provided was very good.
It was an incredible week, time to start planning next years trip.....................
