The biggest draw will clearly be Spider Man Ultimate Ride, named after one of Marvel's best known super heroes. The six-minute long ride puts people in a four-passenger car and in the middle of battle between Spider Man and various villains. The ride is heavy on computer-generated special effects including having passengers wearing 3D goggles for extra impact.

So it's pretty much an exact clone of IOA's Spiderman ride? Do you think Universal is behind this?

The park will also include the Daredevil Obstacle Challenge, where customers run through a course side-by-side. They do everything from climb ropes to crawl through tubes and under webbing.

"It's like a military boot camp but it has a Marvel theme that plays off Daredevil," DiCienzo said.

For younger children, the complex will also have a Spider Man & Friends Fun House where customers can go down slides, hit punching bags and room through rooms with optical illusion-like mirrors.

This would be a good idea for Marvel Island, as a type of "Camp Jurassic" kids area.

I'll tel you one thing, these canadian's aren't verry creative when it comes to names.

I don't think this attraction is going to be like Spiderman at all at IOA, or anything at IOA for that matter.

They are quoting the entire project to cost about $10 million - my understanding was the IOA's Spiderman ride cost close to $200 million.

I visited Niagara Falls last summer and at the same location they are describing in the article, they hosted the touring exhibit of IOA that was at museums throughout the US & Canada shortly after IOA opened......I imagine that was to test the market interest for Marvel & Seuss characters.....
