last jan. we checked in the wed. after MLK weekend, and the crowd level was VERY low! it was great! next jan. we plan on checking in on the sunday of MLK weekend. is this a mistake? i would love to hear from people who have actually been there that weekend. we picked sunday due to childrens school/activity schedules. this is the best weekend for us, but if it is going to be really crowded maybe we should start from square one and pick another time. also, if it is really crowded, when do the crowds thin? as i said, we were there on wed. last year, and crowds were very thin, so i assume people leave monday??

TIA!!

I'll help you bump it up, but I can't answer your question. We only have the long weekend, and so that's when we're going, Friday to Monday!

We are planning on being on arriving in WDW the Sunday before MLK weekend, and the Sunday before MLK day will be our last day in the parks. So, since this will be our only weekend in the parks, I am wondering how Sat and Sunday will be as well.

Thanks,

JAN 2003-Crowds were most on Sat and Sunday--but not horrible-they did not have most FASTPASS machines going which made some of it worse. weather very unpredictable---below 45 the whole weekend when we went. Should thin out alot on Monday and Tuesday.

thank you! i wonder how crowded it was this year? probably about the same. were fast passes not working or were they just not using them?

We have been there that weekend many times. The crowds are never bad, but it has always been COLD!! :cold: We Floridians like it for a change of pace, but it won't be much of a poolside visit if that's what you enjoy. :confused3

as i said, we were there in jan. before, and although it was cold for florida, it ain't got nuttin on pittsburgh in jan. LOL! we're not going down for a poolside vacation, but you can bet we will be hitting the pool/hot tub at some point!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: my only concern was crowds, because i had read a couple of posts in the past where people have said they would never go that weekend again. just wanted to hear from people who have been there! thanks for the feedback!! :goodvibes

Some of the fastpass machines were just not felt to be needed by DISNEY based on the crowd levels...I certainly disagree when it was a 45 minute standby on the Jungle Cruise--but that is the way they had it set up...no FP for BUZZ, HAUNTED MANSION, JUNGLE CRUISE, I am not even sure if they had Space MOuntain Fastpass machines up and running.
