Did the construction works affect your stay at all !

Which building do you think I should request - I would prefer a refurbished unit close to the main pools !

Just got back from a weeks stay at MGV and the construction which was going on in the building next to us did not affect our stay at all. The walls were pretty thick. As far as the main pools there are actually 2. The one that is right behind the main building and the one that is across the bridge. I think that the one by our building was the only one with a zero entry if that matters. We stayed in building 84 and it was very nice. It was a brand new building with brand new decor. The decor is not like the pictures on the web site at all. We had a 2 bedroom and it was huge. Well compared to a moderate resort it was huge! The walk to the main building was about 5 minutes. Very relaxing, nice walk.

If you have little kids there is a playset inside of the main building that is wonderful! Also, a ball pit for kids under 3. It was a great way to pass the time while waiting for our room to be ready.

We took the timeshare presentation with my mom and dad who are already Marriott owners, and it was low pressure. Our guy was kind of annoying. Once we told him that we weren't going to be buying that day he totally changed gears and started working on my parents. Which was fine because we only did it for the $100 in Disney gift certificates we got. They ended up buying at MGV. We ended up buying a DVC.

If you have any more questions ask away!

Just back also. We were in Bldg. 93 (Lago), Just accross the street from the lobby, main pool/kiddie pool. We were told that we were in a refurbed unit, but it did not look like it. It still was very nice, and as always very big.
I snagged a map of the property, and will get it scanned for you.

Maciec, I probably bumped into you and didn't know it. We had a blast, and hope you did also.

I think that the reason we got the building we did is because my parents are Marriott owners. Either that or we got really lucky!

timster we had a good time. We did learn that we won't be going with my parents again. They just couldn't keep up and they never say if they are having a good time or not so we kept changing plans to meet what we thought were their needs. Whereas dh and I just want to go, go, go. Oh well, live and learn!

thanks

Timster - it would be a great help if you could post the map of the resort !

Do you have the contact no's for the resort (tel/fax/e-mail) !
