Marriott World Center

We stayed at WL last year, But my husband is coming for a meeting June 1-5 at marriott World Center so me and my dd's are tagging along. Is the pool good, do they have a slide? Can you see the fireworks from here? Any info would be helpful.

Hey The pool is absolutely fabulous....it is HUGE! And yes, there is a slide and waterfall. It is great! I am not sure about the fireworks, but the World Center is breathtaking!

I stayed here at a conference last August and the hotel is very nice. Good restaurants, the pool looked nice, although i never got to stick even one toe in it. It is close to the parks but no shuttle. So, i would advise you to rent a car. Also, if you need tickets, you can buy convention tickets at the hotel. Have fun!

You can see the fireworks from certain rooms, and the pool is wonderful!

We stayed there New Year's Eve a couple years back. Because there is no shuttle, you have to take a cab or the Mears shuttle anywhere. Last I knew, it cost $7-$12 one way per person to the parks. Your transportation costs could get hefty if you don't plan for this.

Was it Mears or the Taxi's that charged per person?

Did the hotel have one of those arrangmenets with Mears where you were obligated to use their service if you wanted to get a ride from the hotel to WDW?
