Marriott Vacation Club Advice

Hello all! Originally we had 2 rooms at the Yacht Club booked, but due to financial concerns cancelled them. Each room was going to cost over $1550 and I work for Marriott so I get some killer discounted rates. For example I have a 2 bed booked at Grande Vista for less than half of what one room would have cost at YC.

I was looking into a villa at the following MVCI properties in Lake Buena Vista for a 5 night stay Dec 3-8:

Grande Vista
Cypress Harbor
Sabal Palms
Royal Palms

Who has stayed at any of these and what is your opinion?

We've stayed at the Grande Vista a few times and loved it. It's a beautiful resort.We've always gotten a new building and were very happy. The past 2 years we stayed at Horizons. It is much smaller and not a grand as the Grande Vista but was nice. My kids loved the pirate pool and the big slide and water play area. Ive never been to the others.

Our personal favorite is Cypress Harbour. I like an old Florida feel. But Grande Vista is newer and if you get a new building, it's fantastic.

If we have kids with us and it's warm outside, we also like staying at Marriott Horizons - great pools with themed slides and water play area.

Royal Palms has been refurbished (I think Sabal is in the process of being refurbished). The palm vacation clubs share access to the Marriott World Center which has an indoor pool and large outdoor pool with waterfall and slide.

The beds at Marriott are better than Disney. They have the revive bedding and it's WONDERFUL. Way better than anything Disney has. The only bad thing is I don't want to get out of bed.

If you pick Grande Vista, I'd ask for newer building close to the Copa Loca pool. If Cypress Harbour, we like Buildings 50 and 51 - close to the front and the main pool (we always buy the refillable mugs and like being close to the drink refill station). Grande Vista also has refillable mugs.
