Does anyone have any opinions about what the best Marriott owned timeshare resorts are? I think there are a few in the Orlando area. We have a lot of Marriott points and we are considering using them for a stay in Orlando.

We would like to be as close to WDW as possible. We are are family of four--2 DS's (15 & 10). We would like to have at least a 1 bedroom, maybe a 2 bedroom. We are looking for a nice, clean, well maintained place. A good pool would be nice.

Which Marriott timeshare resort would you choose and why?

(P.S.--Sorry, the seach funtion isn't working lately!)

Thanks for your replies!:D

Imperial Palms, Sabal Palms, and Royal Palms are on the grounds of the Marriott Orlando World Center hotel and are the closest to Disney. Sabal Palms and Royal Palms have 2-br units only, and are the oldest Marriott timeshares in Orlando. Imperial Palms has only 3-br units. Cypress Harbor is next newest. It is located near SeaWorld and is very nice. Possibly my favorite Marriott in the area. Grande Vista is the next newest Marriott, and is on I-drive between SeaWorld and Disney, but much closer to SeaWorld than Disney. They have studios, 1-br, 2-br, and 3-br units. Very large complex, great pools. The very newest Marriott is Horizons by Marriott, which is new Marriott brand that is a bit more modest than the other Marriotts. Slightly smaller units. 2-br units only. But it is still very nice, new, and has a lot of things geared for kids. Had only two buildings completed when I stayed there last October, but have since started another building. This resort is across the street from Cypress Harbor in the SeaWorld neighborhood. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.
I don't know if location would make a big difference in my choice. If you're driving to Disney, Cypress Harbor, Horizons, and Grande Vista may be maybe and extra 5 minute or so drive time than Royal Palms, Sabal Palms, and Imperial Palms.

I have only stayed at the Grande Vista - which I loved!!!!

Most people really seem to love the Cypress Harbour - but I think I would go with one near the World Center - I really like the way they look.

You have access to all the stuff in the hotel, too.

We've only been to the Grande Vista, since that's my parents' home resort.

It is beautiful, and the drive to Disney wasn't bad at all.

I have a ressie at Sabal Palms but haven't been there yet. I did learn from calling the MOWC front desk that it is the only one that is walkable to the World Center. Sabal, Royal, and Imperial all have the option of free on request shuttle service between the hotel and the condos. We are attending a conference at the MOWC and thought it would be lovely to have the extra space and conveniences of the condo rather than the hotel room but still be able to easily get back to the room for midday breaks.
