I really like the look of this resort and would like to do a presentation for it? How would I go about it, and has anyone ever done one and how are they ? Are they hard or easy sell, what did they offer you? Is there a better day of the week to get more? Thanks!
marriott Horizons timeshare presentations?

We just returned from Marriott Horizons and we did a timeshare presentation. We received $125 in Marriott checks (could have chosen $125 in themepark tickets). It did not really seem high pressure.
We told the guy that I was currently laid off, and that I needed to see if I'd be recalled when school started (Thank God I have been
). Well anyways they offered us a 5 night stay at Grande Vista for $650 in a onebedroom that we could use anytime within the next 18 months. He also said that they would hold the current price of horizons and if we decided to buy we could apply that $650 towards our downpayment. We'd have to listen to another timshare pitch, but we'd get another $100 in Marriott checks.
We really like Horizons and will probably be buying; however, we will definitely do resale. I seen 2 bdrms EOY(every other year) listed for $5,500, while Marriott is asking $10,700.
All in all, it was not high pressure. We loved our stay, and we definitely are considering buying resale.

We're DVC members and we stayed at Horizons Orlando back in April and liked it so much that we bought an EOY Horizons Branson week resale when we found a good deal. Marriott originally had planned a Horizons resort in Gatlinburg, TN, before 911. I wish they would still put one there. I really like the family friendliness of the Horizons brand. Horizons reminds me a lot of the Disney resorts.
