myself and my fiancee are thinking of staying in this hotel in jan 07, any feedback, is it really to far away from the main body of i drive .

we've normally stayed in Kissimmee so any advice on hotels on i drive would be great also.

depends upon what you call long.

I loved it. I walked that every morning....

Now it is to far for you walk to the parks - well maybe you could walk to Seaworld - but for walking to Seaworld - these are closer

Marriott's Cypress Harbour

the only one really close enough to walk to SW is HGVC at SW.

The Marriott GV does have a shuttle - I think it was $12 per person per day (might have been less).

I am wondering too...we are very interested in MGV. I was going to ask about the shuttle service and I found this thread. $12 for the shuttle is expensive...does anyone agree? Is this per family or per person? This is our first onsite visit and maybe we are spoiled by Disney transportation. Also how much travel time should we leave to get to Disney theme parks from MGV?

we are looking at this property also Courtyard by Marriott Lake Buena Vista, $12 per person is expensive.

we want to avoid driving and it would be nice to have shops and restaurants local so the second hotel i mentioned above seems better for that.

I was just there last week, Ron, LOOOOOOOOVED IT!!

I don't believe they offer the shuttle anymore, but you can call or contact the hotel to make sure.

I think it would behoove you to rent a car if you're staying at the MGV but it would be well worth it. The property is way off of I-Drive, good thing, too, and nothing is really walking distance from it unless you REALLY like walking!

I would guess that the trip from MGV to WDW is about 10 to 15 mins. I did not go to WDW but did come within 2 miles of it by going to the Marriott World Center and it took be about 7-10 mins by car.

It was by far the best property I've stayed at in Orlando! Awesome place and awesome customer service.
