Anyone stayed at this hotel?

We're hoping to stay there when we go to Florida next October. It has good reviews on Trip Advisor but wondered if anyone on here had any experiences (good or bad) to add.

If you mean the one in the Marriott Village, we used to stay here all the time, until we discovered timeshares/condos were best for our longer trips. It's in a nice location, not too far from DTD. There are some nice restaurants and outlets nearby, you can share pools with the other village hotels, it has free internet, decent breakfast. Never used the shuttles (would not stay off-property without a car) so I cannot comment on schedule/reliability. Sure you'll get more feedback here. FWIW.

Hi, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn Marriott Village in 2005. We loved it! The rooms are on the small side, but we only are in the room to sleep. Rooms were very clean and there is a mini fridge in all rooms. Housekeeping was excellent. The free breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Many, many choices. Fresh fruit, cereals, hot cereals, make your own belgian waffles (Many toppings to pick from) assorted pastries, yogurts, bagels, etc. etc. I was surprised that there were so many choices. I honestly just expected a few muffins and coffee!! The staff there was helpful and there is coffee/tea/hot chocolate brewing in lobby 24/7 and free. The pool was nice and always clean. There is also a little sprinkler/splash play area near the pool which my ds enjoyed.
If you are staying here, I highly recommend a rental car. This was our 1st trip and our TA had recommended saving $$$ by using the shuttle service. It is run by Mears and there are only a few pick up times in the morning and a few pick up times in the evenings which really put a damper on our vacation. Suppose you went at 8 am. sometimes the 1st shuttle back to the hotel was at 7 pm. Many days we just took a taxi back and forth so we could come and go when we wanted. I am sure we spent three times the money as renting a car, LOL, Live and learn.
Also, when you stay in the Marriot Village, you have access to the other Marriotts there like you can go pool hopping if you want. My kids would get excited at being able to swim in the different pools. The location is excellent, very close to WDW and Seaworld. There is a Bahama Breeze and Golden Coral within walking distance. (Not even a 2 minute walk)
We really enjoyed our stay there! Any questions, feel free to ask!!!

We have stayed in the Courtyard at the Marriott Village quite a few times, though never at the Fairfiled Inn. My DH would probably actually prefer staying at the Courtyard to staying on-site, but he is quickly outvoted by me and our two princesses. LOL! The Marriott Village in general is a nice area to stay. I agree with the PP who said not to rely on the transportation from Mears. The pick up times were just too spread out and we needed a break in the middle of the day.

Yep, stayed there a couple of times, but several years ago.

Nothing at all wrong with it. Clean, near everything, good price.

I prefer the CY Brand of the three, but, like I said, nothing wrong with the Fairfield.

My DD & I stayed here in May. I agree with the others who said to rent a car, the location is great but a car is really necessary. The room was nice with a small refrigerator. Really, the only complaint I had was that it was very cold in the hallways.

We've stayed here a couple of times. Its a lovely hotel, not too far from Downtown Disney and there's a shuttle bus to the parks. Also very close to the premium outlets mall (if you like shopping!)

We stayed there one night two year ago.The room was perfect after our long drive. The breakfast was good too. This year we are staying one night in the Courtyard next door.

Stayed there in July 2007 and will probably return March 2009. We got a kids suite room. Kids loved it. The place was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We liked this place very much. It is in a great location.

We've never stayed there before but we'll be there in about a week and a half so I'm glad it gets good reviews. We're staying in a family suite so I can report back after our stay if you're interested.

Marriott International was established in 1993 when the Marriot Corporation split into two different companies, with the other company being named Host Marriott Corporation. In 1995 Marriott International purchased a 49 percent interest in the Ritz Carlton Corporation. Then in 1998 they purchased an additional 50 percent, which gave Marriot International 99 percent ownership.

We stayed there also in 2005. Very near to Downtown Disney, clean rooms. Great if you won't be spending much time in the room. The breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous - great to fill up on before hitting the parks! Yum Yum!!
