Marriott Cypress Harbour--nervous

Hi. Thought I had decided on Marriott Cypress Harbour for upcoming getaway with my husband. Getting nervous again though re construction and closure of island pool/bridges/beach/sauna area.

I have noticed that Hilton Grand Vacations at SeaWorld is available and less expensive. Starting to wonder whether this might be a better option given issues at Marriott (even though I've always wanted to try CH!)

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated especially if you have been to both! We plan to spend most of our time enjoying the resort as well as shopping/out for dinner some nights. We do not want to rent a car as we would prefer to just try the i-trolley and use taxis. Thanks!

We have stayed at MCH in the past and had a room right next to the club house. We used the pool that you say will be closed exclusively. We also stayed on the other side of the resort on anther visit and never used that pool even once as the other 2 are just as good. I don't think you'll miss out if they are rehabbing the place. In fact we have stayed at a few places that had construction going on and it was never an issue.

Thanks so much for your response. Sounds like you enjoyed the resort and would recommend even with island pool area closed! The photos are my favorite of many resorts. Just concerned that given the refurb we might enjoy another place as much for less cost. Thanks again for your encouragement--just what I need!
