Marriott Canyon Villas

We just booked Marriott Canyon Villas for last week in August. I know not prime time but was able to pull it off using points and ff miles so I feel kind of lucky. I know its hot that time of year but my kids 9,5,3 are used to touring disney every August so the heat shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone ever stayed there - we plan to take a day trip to Grand Canyon but any other suggestions for sites or insight to the villas would be appreciated.

We've only been out that way once...but be sure you go to Sedona (or at least drive through). We took an historic train ride to the canyon (from Williams, AZ, I think?) and it was WONDERFUL. Lots of wildlife...wonderful staff on the train.

The resort looks great...it will be hot...a different kind of hot than Florida in August. Have a great trip and be sure to come back and give us a full report!
