Marriott and places to eat.

I am going to a conference in Anaheim August 15-18. The conference is at the Anaheim Marriott. The hotels says that it is 2 blocks from DL. Is that very close? Has anyone ever stayed there and walked? Will I be able to walk? Any suggestions for restaurants at DD there? We are looking for something not too expensive for one of the nights that we have free. Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Hi Eva! Yes, you can walk from the Anaheim Marriott to the parks, it is a little bit of a haul but easily doable. I'm sure they have a shuttle as well.

There are lots of places to eat in Downtown Disney....my personal favorites are Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, Naples Ristorante and the ESPN Zone (good food, and the least expensive of the three I mentioned!).

We stayed at the Anaheim Marriott last October. We walked almost everyday to and from DL. It wasn't that long of a walk and our 2 DDs (ages 6 and 3) managed the walk very well. There is the red trolley that occasionally drove us back on those odd nights we stayed late at DL. The trolley station is right outside the Marriott.

For a place to eat, we enjoyed walking across the street to the Anaheim Hilton. On the main floor of the Hilton, there's the Cafe Oasis, which served good breakfasts and dinners.
