Hello all :thumbsup2

I am new here and have never been to to disney anywhere!

I have 4 children aged 2, 4, 7 & 8, myself and hubby would love to take them to disneyland paris as our 1st trip.

We are in the UK and would most likely ferry over and drive.

I love the look of the above village but am confused to as it is just a timeshare place or if I can book independently or not?

Has anybody been there? It looks lovely!

Or does anyone have any other reccomendations for suitable accommodation for the 6 of us?

I am struggling to find places that will sleep all 6 of us, apart from the davy crockett ranch, and they look quite small

thankyou in advance x

I have stayed a number of times :rolleyes1 as you can see from my signature .

Our family  love staying there .It is very luxurious and quiet which is a nice contrast to the busy parks , which are great too :yay: .

I usually book direct on the Marriot website www.marriot.com . You are best to join their rewards programme as sometimes this gets you preferential rates.:thumbsup2

For bigger families there are other options too . The Adagio in Val D'Europe is one and I'm sure there has been another posted about near the Marriot but I can't recall the name :confused3 .

Any other questions let me know . Only happy to help ;)

the explorers hotel is another option for larger families as well they have crew 6 rooms which is like a normal room plus a lock off bit with a bunk cabin in it, weve stayed there a few times and its nice and they have a lovely pool and reasturant and its in disney village so it has the free shuttle buses 4- 5 mins max to the parks!!

I have stayed at the Marriott & would recommend it. There is a supermarket nearby. The indoor pool is lovely & warm. There are jacuzzis there too & a steam room (but it is only on certain hours). There is also an indoor playroom with a small ball pool & climbing area & a few toys & tables for kids to sit at and draw. There are 2 outside playgrounds with swings, slides etc. The houses are lovely. There is a DVD player, which is good for the kids. You can also get BBC1 & 2! There is plenty of space in the houses too. The place is like a hotel in that every day your bins get emptied & you get clean towels, tissues, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, soaps etc replenished. There is a washer/dryer too & the kitchen is fully equipped. It really is like a home from home. If you have any questions, just ask.

Sorry can I hijack and ask - is there a hairdryer and kettle? Also do we need our own towels for the pool or are they provided?

Many thanks for your help :)

Yes there is a hairdryer & a kettle. It is kitted out with everything you would have at home because you are renting a house rather then a room. And yes, towels are provided for swimming. Any more questions, just ask.

We booked this as a timeshare exchange and got a three bedroom for a week in February when we are going to DLP.
You can definately book it direct through the marriott site, and they sometimes have really good specials, but I do not think you can book the three bedrooms direct (they are even hard to get through timeshare).
Hope this helps.

You can book the 3 beds direct. I rang up for a quote a few months ago for our trip and they offered me a 3 bed, 2 bed or even a 1 bed studio. I didn't book at the time and they've nearly all gone, I have since booked and could only get a 2 bed - not great as there are 4 adults, one child and one baby but we'll manage.

I'm on the lookout for a 3 bed or a 1 bed studio for my parents if anyone sees any become available :) They may not be online though although their central reservations told me they would be if they become available...

Karen - thanks for the tip off about the kettle etc.

I managed to book a studio online although I'm not really sure where they are in the resort :confused3 . Maybe they are in the new part.

They don't show for all dates so I wonder if there are only a few available currently:thumbsup2

We have stayed at the Marriott Village in a 2-bedroom villa and loved it. It has all the conveniences of home (full kitchen, laundry room, etc.). We will be there again in a few weeks.
