We are going to Orlando the first week in October. We went 2 years ago and stayed at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter and loved it. We have the opportunity to stay at an off-site Marriot resort this time. Does anyone have any suggestions about which one is the best? We have 2 kids 7 & 10 that like to use the pool. Here are the choices we have:
Royal Palms, Grande Vista, Cypress Harbour, Horizons by Marriott or Sabal Palms. Any help would be great. Thanks.

We stayed at Marriott Orlando World Center last april, we were able to look around the Royal Palms Villas which are right next door(You can walk to it). They are beautiful, clean, roomy. Its like your own little home, complete with kitchen,dr,lv, and most important to me washer/dryer. When you stay there your allowed to use all the facilities of the resort itself. THe pool there is unbelievably beautiful, very tropic. The villas have ther own seperate check in and own parking spaces. They were really very nice. THey also have there own pool, nothing great, but indeed nice. Once you see the pools(theres 6 of them) at the resort, you'll use those instead. IMHO, you can't go wrong with the Royal Palms. We never stayed at any places off site other thn the MOWC and we only styed here 2x. We usually sty either CR or GF. But if we were going to stay at a villa offsite, it would be the Royal Palms.

whitecat - welcome to the DIS!

We stayed at Marriott Grande Vista this past April for a week. My kids are 5.5 and 11 and LOVED the resort, not just for the room in the villas, but because of their pool and the activities there.

You cannot go wrong with this resort - you'd be extremely pleased.

Ask any specifics you'd like :D

Thanks for the recommendations. We booked at the Royal Palms.
I will let you know how it goes. After researching everywhere possible the only complaint was the wait for checking in. Since we are aware ahead of time we are planning to have our swimwear ready so we can wait by the pool.

Thanks again for the information. I can't wait to go.

At the Marriott World Center - What is the pool with the slide like?

My kids love slides and they keep asking.

Thanks.
