Hi All,

Any opinions on this property? Is it a far walk to DL? This is for only one night until we move in to GCH for the remainder of the vacation.

I can reserve a two bedroom suite for less $$ than our current ressies will cost at Best Western Park Place Inn, where we would need two rooms.

Is it worth it? I'd love to just book at GCH for that night but the rates are so high! When I use my DVC points it is a great value, but the cash rooms are almost $500.00 for the week preceding Easter. Can you believe that! Defintiely the most expensive room I've stayed in in my life.

It is too far to walk from the Reseidence Inn Maingate. You will want to catch a shuttle. Park Place Inn is just across the crosswalk from the entry to the Disney Parks. No hotel is closer, except GCH.

We had considered staying there and I got a lot of positive feedback in my research about it. And, while you would have to take the ART, I was told by posters that it was one of the shortest (and therefore quickest) ART lines.

The price is the tough thing about the GCH. Especially when you see the size of the room that you get (small). You kind of have to not think about the cost/value thing and appreciate the service, location and theming and you will have a great time. I had all sorts of Disney dollars $1100 from my Disney Rewards Visa, the $150 gift card from the hotel, $20 from my Costco package) that helped reduce the burden so I didn't once blink about the cost. However, if I hadn't had all of that extra money, it definitely would have bothered me.

We have stayed there numerous times and would go back in a moments notice, We have walked and taken ART and it is quicker to walk when you add the wait time for ART. It is about 1/2 mile and we are use to walking.
They will grocery shop for you and put the stuff in room and the fridge.
