We are staying at POR for most of our trip but we are driving and coming in on April 26th the day before the codes so the rooms were over 100. more and we decided to try Holiday Inn Family Suites for one night until we get our length of stay tickets the next day. I have always wanted to try it and got a great rate. 145 for a 2 room suite Now my mom has to come in a day earlier than us due to airlines so she wondered if there was a Mariott near WDW because she has Marriot points. SO does anyone know if there is a nice Marriott near by WDW and would you stay there or stay with 2 nights at HIFS. it is over 100. cheaper each night than POR before the codes. So onsite for the 2 nights is not really a choice as we don't like AS. Thanks!

Marriot Olrlando World Centre is right across the street from HIFS. We have stayed at both, and liked both. We prefer HIFS because of all the kids activities and the free brekky. One draw back to MOWC was the distance from parking lot to room, alot of walking. Both hotels offered nice, clean rooms but from MOWC we had a great view of Disney fireworks from our room. Just a few pros and cons of each hotel, I think you would be happy at either one.

We have stayed at different Marriotts very close to Downtown Disney. We have stayed at the Marriott Village which is very nice. There is a Courtyard, Springhill Suites, Fairfield. We have stayed at the first two and they are great.

We have also stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in DTD. It was very nice also.

I have used my free award vouchers at all of them with no problems.

We are a family of 6 do any of these Marriotts have suites?-
Any more info would be helpful - any ideas on price? and which is closest I already found out I would need 2 rooms at Courtyard- Bump

SpringHill Suites has suites in the Marriott Village. One bed and a sofa was in our room. Not sure if they are all like that. They did have a free cont. breakfast. Very nice one. Price is reasonable.

I say if you have always wanted to try HIFS, definitely do it. I don't think you will be disappointed, it is a great hotel! Your mom could stay at Marriot the second night if she prefers, or move over to HIFS with you (As stated, there is one directly across the street). Is it a KidSuite you have booked at HIFS? If so, you can easily fit 3 adults and 3 kids there. Plus your kids (I'm assuming?) will love it there, there is so much for them to do. Definitely stay there, and as for mom, whatever she is more comfortable with;)

Thanks we all decided to stay at HIFS and give it a try sounds cool anyway thanks again all the info helped!!

Good decision!:)
I know you are only staying there 2 nights, but definitely try to schedule in some pool time and kids activities at night. That was our only regret last time, we spent so much time at the parks we didn't get to enjoy all that HIFS offers! My kids would have been just as happy to stay at the hotel every day!
