Hello ladies!

I have a quick question for you all...I'm going on my honeymoon to WDW the day after I get married. I won't have my last name officially changed yet, but do you know if you can have it changed on your KTTW card at check-in? I would love to have my KTTW card show off my new last name! :lovestruc

Thank you for your thoughts! :goodvibes

I have read on here about a bride or two who had a CM who did that for them as a surprise when they checked in so I know its possible! Not sure if its one of those things where it depends on who you talk to though.

Good to know! Hopefully I'll have their luck...If not, I'm hoping explaining it to them could work just as well. Thank you for your input! :flower3:

Yes, you can get your married name - in fact, I got married at Disney a few days into the trip, and they told me to come back after the wedding and get a new card with the new name on it. I did. :)

I had the opposite problem! A very sweet CM went out of their way to get me a new card with my "married name," only I kept my last name. :rotfl:

I would have just used it and not said anything, but I had to check to make sure there were no issues with the fact that it was, in fact, wrong. Apparently, since I was the one who booked the trip, everything was in my name, including the credit card on file. For this reason, they actually had to change it back. Had it been the other way, and we had used DH's credit card, this wouldn't have mattered. But for legal reasons, the name on file and the credit card holders name have to match.

This is so exciting! I'm honeymooning at Aulani and Disneyland, but I'm hoping that perhaps they'll do the same for me. I can't wait to upgrade my last name :rotfl:

In the long run, I'll just be introducing myself with my married name anyway, regardless of whether or not its legal :thumbsup2

Hmm...We're doing our stay through DVC and I've got both our names down on the res...I'm not sure if we'll have to put a credit card down when we get there but if we do, I'll have Nathan put his down. I just really want a tangible memento that would show off my new name and Disney's our first stop as a married couple so...Why not, right? Haha.

I LOVE that, "Upgrade" my last name....I love your mindset for that...I'm so gonna say that from now on, cause that's how I truly feel about it! :-D

My Fiance and I are getting married and heading on our honeymoon on this Friday. My credit card is on file, as he doesn't have one, so does that mean I won't be able to have my married name on my KTTW card?

It's worth asking. Maybe they can make you one as a "keepsake" if nothing else.

Being back from our honeymoon, I thought I'd follow up for anyone who is curious and say that I followed your advice, NoOrdinaryPrincess!

And it was definitely worth asking. Even though it was my credit card on file and I had made the reservations with my maiden name, the woman at check in gave me a KTTW card with my new name on it!

It took a few tries though, and she actually printed my maiden name on both of our cards when I had first asked!

Then I joked that I'm the one changing my name, not my husband, and she gave us correct ones. :cheer2:

Thanks TinkerShy for the update! Sounds like it won't be too difficult to accomplish.

....Now can anyone make my ticker go by faster so I can get to be a Mrs. and have my new name on my KTTW?!

we were married when I boarded for our cruise but because my name on my passport said my maiden, that is what my KTTW card said..it was funny to me because I hadn't been that name for a year when we sailed
