Married ladies who own homes... does your husband have "his" room?

DH has his "office" it has his car pictures, his trophies, the computer(s) and his cable/large TV..... it is the smallest bedroom, but its his. (I have the whole basement ;) )

No, Dh doesn't have his own room. He can't even match his clothes, do you think I would trust him to decorate a room :lmao: . Really though, he just doesn't have any interest in making a room of his own. We have a finished basement that is the boys domain right now. DH has the family room on the main floor to watch tv, etc. In the new house we are going to put in a large screen tv so I am sure that will become his new hang out, but he still isn't going to decorate the room.

No but we do own a commercial building that we have our bussiness in. I stated working there a few months ago & last week filled 1/2 a dumpster with junk from his office. I do this every few years for him.

He's the boss at work & I'm the boss at home. He really does'nt care what I do or have in this house as long as he has a warm dry place to sleep.

My dh used to have the 3rd floor for his office so he could watch CNBC while doing research. He also had his own bathrooms. I don't like to share my bathroom. :rotfl2: When we rebuild our home we will always have spaces that are just for him.

Eventually he will. Right now the house is too small but as soon as I get my chance, I'm kicking him out of our joint office! :rotfl:

Well I've got my room and it's been peace and qquiet ever since. Got the computer and all of my fire department stuff as DW calls it. I actually told DW what I was thinking about doing and one week while I was away she did it all. Painted the room to look like a fire truck put up shelves and put everything up. I was totally speechlees when i saw it. I didn't know she had it in her. She even put up a flashing red light.

Yes, DH has his own room. In it he can store his many cards, models, collectables and anything else he wishes. He has a lounge chair in there along with lots of shelving units for his “stuff” a desk and chair. He goes in there regularly and we all know to give him space when he’s in there.

yeah, he had his "man town" for about 6 years, upstairs of our 2-family home. Too bad for him, we needed that space for bedrooms and now his man-town has got to be in the cellar, works for me though he does the laundry while he's there!! :thumbsup2

Yeah - the basement. He has his Steelers Shrine, weights, workbench, computer, tv . Retreats down there everynight LOL!

Right now my dh's room is the bathroom. I swear, that is his peaceful, happy place! He's going to be building himself a man shed in the backyard soon.

We built a house about a year and a half ago and we purposely made sure there was a room for him and a room for me. His room is what I call the "Comic Book" room. He has about 15,000 comics, his computer, guitars, piano, toys and all the other stuff that he collects. If he didnt' have his own space I'd descend into madness and take him with me.

When I get my own room DH will get one for himself. Until then the entire house is ours.

My Dh has a "batcave" upstairs. It is a long bonus room that is located over our garage. He is going to decorate it, and all of his video games will be up there. Since we just moved, there are boxes everywhere, and the TV is on the floor. The computer is in this room also, so it is not a "No Girls Allowed" :) area, but I am not doing any of the decorating. This way, he has a room where he can put all of his action figures and stuff I don't want in the main rooms.

Yup. DH has the smallest bedroom as "his" room. I warned him that it will be the nursery when the time comes and he'll have to relocate to the basement (the other bedroom is a guest room for when our parents come to visit) but meanwhile, it's all his!

DH doesn't have one -- but neither do I. I'd like to give him one, but we just don't have the space.
