We went to that Winn-Dixie on one trip that we had a rental car for a day. It was nice to go there quickly! Later in this trip we had a rental for a day and we hit up Super Target.
SOOOOO jealous of this!!!
I know it seems like such a simple little thing, but everyone who knows me knows that I am completely OBSESSED with Target! My parents get a rental car every year & when they told me there are 3-4 Targets within a 15 mile radius of Disney Property -- AND on top of that, one is a SUPER TARGET, wow! I was so amazed (and super jealous that they went there!)
You probably think I'm nuts now!
I left you in the little Hess Station. About a month ago.
Sorry about that.
No worries here Brook!!!!
Take your time!!! I can't say anything because it took me over 8 months to finish my June trip report last year!
Besides, so many other "life things" get in the way of DIS-ing! Catch up whenever you can! I'm patient & still here waiting, as I'm sure everyone else is too!!!
After I returned to the room with the goods--a gallon of water, a 1/2 gallon of milk, 2 packs of soda, some fruit and possibly a few other things...and no, I didn't carry all of that-I used our carry-on suitcase!
Henry woke up around 3:45 pm and we headed straight over to Stormalong Bay. The (slightly creepy, yet fascinating) clown slide, George-as I like to call him, was down for a refurb at the Boardwalk, so that gave all the Boardwalk guests access to Stormalong Bay "if we would like use of a slide".
And did we want use of a slide?
Uh...NO.
Not a fan of water slides.
I'm definitely planning to take my rolling carry-on bag whenever we walk to the Hess Station! Most likely, we will also have Luke's stroller with us. Even if he doesn't want to ride in it on the way over, we're still taking it -- just in case he gets tired of walking & also for storage of our grocery items!
I don't blame you at all -- I am not a fan of water slides either!!! That's one reason I don't want to go to the water park. I sort of want to go just to see it since I've never been before. But I know I'll do 1 of 2 things -- either just lay on a chair all day or go to the kiddie area with Luke & lay in the shallow part of the water
Personally, I'd much rather just hang out at Stormalong Bay!!!
Oh, wait. Back the Boardwalk I dipped into the Boardwalk Bakery and YES! they had the new mugs!
3 please!
Henry was quite excited that he got his own mug...and it worked great as a sand toy.
I'm really excited to get these this year! I like the new design & colors!
I'm glad to hear Henry was excited to have his own mug -- I really think Luke will be excited too, especially because he already claimed mine from last year! When I get him a drink in it, he says "This is my Disney cup Mommy."
Looking over toward Hurricane Hannah's.
See that table on the very left-hand side, its almost hidden by the pool area? That's where we sat last year after our Photo Session!!!! Brings back such great memories & I cannot wait to see SAB in person this trip!!!
All of your pictures of SAB were gorgeous!!!!
I know what you mean, I get antsy too! I like to relax some, but not too much. There are alot of beautiful places at the Beach Club & I keep telling myself I need to take my Kindle or write in my journal & just relax. But deep down, I know the truth -- there's no way I can possibly relax at Disney! I have to go, go, go!!! LOL
I am glad you enjoyed SAB!
We absolutely loved it! We spent most of our time in the Lazy River.
I think I read this somewhere, but can't remember for sure. Do you rent the tubes to use in the Lazy River?
Somewhere between the stroller and the counter where you order food Henry decided to melt down and act out.
Thank you for sharing this in your TR! My husband & I were sooo frustrated so many times last June with Luke's melt downs. I saw some other kids acting up but nothing like what Luke did! A few times, he got out of the seatbelt in his stroller & laid down on the pavement & cried! We were so embarassed & mostly just frustrated! Normally I know when he's hungry or tired or just upset -- but it was frustrating because I had NO idea why he was upset
I think sometimes it can just be overwhelming for the poor little guys!
Well...Joe comes in...empty handed. And he declares he cannot find the stroller.
Say what?

I was sooooo hoping you would find your stroller at this point!!!
Thank goodness for wonderful CM's!!!!
I print out "stroller tags" on 8"x11" card stock with a Disney DISign on them (straight off the DISign Boards here of course!!!) and put our family name on it. Then I get a clear paper protector (the kind that go into a 3 ring binder with the holes on the one side) and put the paper inside. I attach it to our stroller with yarn every morning. I usually take 3-5 of them with me on each trip in case the plastic protector rips (this usually happens when folding up the stroller to put onto the buses). You can see it a mile away!!!! LOL I made them the first year because we were renting a stroller from Disney & I had no idea how we'd find the stroller (since they would all look identical). Our Graco stroller has an odd pattern that I didn't see anyone with on our trip, but I still make the tag because its just so easy to spot! I always use bright colors & a cute Disney design! I think this trip, we'll make some Halloween designs!
Ahhhh, SAB looks heavenly

It seems as though I am going to have a chance to check it out for myself the day before our cruise, and I WILL be hitting up that slide!
Michelle! Did I miss something here???
Looks like I need to go over to your PTR & catch up!!!
My luggage is bright pink. You cannot mistake it for anyone elses...so I know when it comes off the carousel at baggage claim that it's mine. Everyone makes fun of me for it, but it works.
I think when/if I have kids, I will also employ this same strategy with strollers.
I love that you posted this!!!! Why? Because I bought my husband bright green luggage for his birthday a few years ago!!! And he looked at me as if I had lost my mind!!!
My luggage is bright pink & his is bright green. I saw some bright orange that I will be buying for our son next year! (I've also seen bright aqua & purple.)
Anyway, you are completely right -- you spot it the second it drops at baggage claim! After my husband made fun of me for months about the bright colored luggage, we went to Disney. While we were standing in line waiting to check our luggage, a lady (who had 2 kids with her & her husband) asked me where I bought my luggage. They had navy & black luggage & she said that she really, really wanted something that stuck out. She wanted to be able to spot her luggage! She said that she wished she could find purple & then I told her about the orange, green, aqua, pink, AND purple! She was sooo excited that she told her husband the second they checked their bags, she was getting on the website & buying new bright-colored luggage! She was so excited it would be waiting for her when she got home! Needless to say, her husband didn't look thrilled about her new purchase!
Moving on -- after going through our airport & then MCO, we arrived at our resort. And guess what? My husband told me that it (bright colored luggage) was the BEST thing I could've bought!!!! Now, everytime we're at the airport & anyone comments on our luggage, he immediately tells them how wonderful it is to have & how smart I was to buy it!
I just HAD to share that story with you when I saw that you said everyone makes fun of you for it!!! Same here!!! But don't let it bother you, we're the smart ones!
