Please tell me abt Marrakesh. We are thinking of going here on our next trip. Dh thinks it looks good. It will be family of 5 (dh, I and 3 children 8,6 and 2)

Good food. Quiet atmosphere. Good entertainment. Make sure you have a camera or video recorder and have your kids belly dance with the CM! Priceless!!

Just went this month. I have 2 kids, 6 and 7, and they enjoyed their food and the dancer. My DS found a friend sitting next to him and they chit chatted the whole meal. The food was fine, probably more than fine, but we had been at Epcot all day on a raw windy day and I at least was cold and tired so I would definitely try this again without getting completely exhausted before hand.

Loved it! I had chicken kabobs - DH had the soup and beef brewat balls etc. It was very nice, quiet. I love the mint tea...

I think we'll try Marrakesh next year when we go down-it sounds different but very cool!

Restaurant Marrakesh is one of my absolute favorites at Disney - the food is unusual without being weird, and since it's (unfortunately) almost always next-to-empty, it's a great destress zone as well. I am a little concerned about your kids though - RM is one of the few places at WDW that doesn't have the standard chicken fingers / PBJ / mac&cheese kids menu, but rather smaller plainer versions of the adult menu. Certainly, if your kids are open to new foods, this is a great place to go. But if your kids are anything like I was at those ages (hot dogs, KRAFT mac&cheese only, and strawberry unfrosted Poptarts made up 95% of my food intake), you might run into trouble.

And we all liked it. My boys are 7 and 10 - on thing, although they have burgers, they do not have CHEESEburgers. My older DS then opted for grilled chicken breast (which he liked) and the younger went for the burger anyway. This is a beautiful restaurant - excellent theming - and the food is good without being too unusual.

Although we have not eaten at the Marrakesh, we have eaten a couple of times at the Tangerine Cafe and the food has been very good. The sandwiches there are excellent and you can eat inside or at the outside tables in the courtyard. If you time it right you can even have entertainment with your meal if "MoRockin" is playing at the stage nearby. When we were there last in early December the Holiday Storyteller was there. You might want to try the food there before you "spring" for the higher price dinner. :D

Paul in CT, your advice is good in general except that in this case it's comparing apples and oranges. There is very little overlap in the two restaurants' menus. I thought Tangierine Cafe was just okay but Marrakesh is one of my favorite WDW restaurants. It is beautiful, and the food is very yummy. I recommend getting a feast of some sort or ordering an appetizer and drinking mint tea.

Like the other World Showcase sit-down restaurants, the kids' menu is a bit more adventurous. The last time we went our youngest had the kabob (ate the meat only) which was served with very American looking fries. The meal also included ice cream. He previously had had the burgers (was three small ones, I think) which came with tomato sauce. He was worried about that, but I got rid of it real quickly.

Like the other World Showcase restaurants, lunch is a much better deal, so keep that in mind if budget is an issue.

RM is one of DS16's top 3 restaurants in Epcot. DS11 also likes the Couscous, vegatables and of course the lamb. I agree that the feasts are the way to go, sharing around the table you get a lot of choices.

We will definitely be trying this on our next trip! I was hoping to check it out on our trip this past June, but DH & I opted for Le Cellier and San Angel Inn during our two Epcot days instead. It sounds like a great place and I don't think I've ever read a disagreeable post about it!
