Marrakesh Restaurant

we went in may '07. We have tried most of the World's TS and it was time to give Morocco a try. My boys were 7 & 9 and we had our elderly grandmother w/us. I was nervous about everyone liking it. Lucky we all "liked" our dishes. It was fine. Not great, fine. Worth a try, just don't make it the main TS stop for your trip. If this is your only trip to WDW for a while, skip it and try Mexico or Canada. Hope that helps.

We (me, DW,DS,DD) were there in Aug. for the first time, and we all loved it ! We had a table right next to the dance floor. The belly dancer came right over to my DD (10) and had her come up on stage and dance with her. My DS (16) took about 50 pictures of her ! The food, the service and the staff were great ! It will be a regular stop on all our future WDW trips. And by the way, we will never return to San Angel Inn in Mexico. Loud, dark, close together and awful food. Did I say loud ?! Stick with Marrekesh. You'll love it !! Good luck !! :thumbsup2

We went last August and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. My son is still talking about the dessert some kind of pastry with custard or cream. I had the vegetable cous cous and it was good ( if you like couscous).

I would recommend a change to San Angel, if that was your second choice. It's also a rather controversial love it or hate it sort of place, but if you like Mexican food and great atmostphere, it's the place to be. :thumbsup2 Good luck!

I called yesterday and switched to San Angel. I really wanted Coral Reef (I have no idea why I didn't get that in the first place), but San Angel was my next choice. We like Mexican food and as long as we have a margarita we're happy!!

Well, we've had dinner at Marrakesh at least 3 or 4 times and loved the food, atmosphere and service every time! We try not to miss it whenever we are at WDW.
On the other hand, we thought San Angel Inn was inediible garbage. Literally only ate a couple bites and threw the rest away.
Different strokes for different folks!:confused3

Wow, I'm so surprised at the food reviews! We both LOVED Tangierine Cafe, I guess I just assumed that the TS would be just as yummy. That is disappointing-middle eastern type food is my favorite and I was hoping to try this one on a future trip. I'm wondering now if we should just stick to the Tangierine Cafe...

Tangierine Cafe ROCKS! We always have it as a "MUST DO" on our list! I couldn't believe the sit down restaurant was so lacking as compared to the counter service. I also had a much more generous portion at the c/s....go figure!:confused3

I think you will be very happy with your decision. I used to be a SA hater, but I tried it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. They seem to have stepped up and the entrees are better seasoned and better cuts of meats were used. As I said, it was a pleasant surprise.::yes::

It's one of my favorites at Disney. I love the cous cous, the atmoshpere... just everything!

IMHO San Angel was a let down. I have had real Mexican in Mexico and TexMex here. It was kind of a so so combo of the worst of both LOL!
