Has the Mark VII Monorail debut yet? If it has, please post photos.

Thanks:cool1:

Yes they have! I've seen Mark red & blue, don't know about the others though.

Here are pics that I took when I went on Mark red :lovestruc :

They had the red and blue running last week. :) We only got on the red one tho, we wanted to try for blue but never made it.

Mark Orange is on property, but hasn't been released for service yet. This is what we were told a few weeks ago when riding in the driver's nose of Monorail Blue.

Hmmm, was that when you were riding in to see us? :goodvibes You did say you were on Monorail Blue. :) I want to ride blue our next trip......really really I want to.

Not hot, but it was at night and dark out. It was cold but the windows were opened to let the air circulate. It was just last week when we rode it. :)

Yep Kerri, that was when we rode it. That and the week before when we stayed at the resort for 4 days for our anniversary - we got married there at GCH on 12/23/01. That was when the pilot gave us the info.

The monorails will still only run below certain temps. Here's how it works and why:

When we asked the driver, he said it had something to do with how the power is supplied to the vehicle. In the magnetic induction design, the power runs through the beams and is drawn into the vehicle to send it moving. Because the beams are "original", there is not enough of a power supply to fuel an airconditioning generator for the entire vehicle. Therefore, you have a need to get air flow from windows. Because of the change in design, the windows don't open like the old ones - the "vent". That means that they won't get the same air circulation to generate air flow throughout the cabin.

The drivers and tail cones have AC due to the lack of windows.

Orange has been out and about sometimes. but not ready for riders.

Currently, new windows are tested on Monorail Red. Kinda like the old styled but apparently they cant be closed. Oh well, it doesnt rain much enough for them to make closeable window.

Albort!!!!! I still haven't found you......LOL Good to see you again! :)
