Marineland - I knew it

Obviously that's going to be Marineland's official response. They aren't going to be like "our bad...we're mean to animals...whatevs...sorry and all that"

Um the statement is from the association/agency doing the inspection not from Marineland. Read before you post. :thumbsup2

My opinion isnt from an article recently written its from living here for 50 years, knowing that its just a business to make money at the whales and dolphins expense

So.....your saying that your opinion is based on what you think you know from people talking about Marineland. That's all.

And it's just the whales and the dolphines expense?? The other animals are all ok?? Cause I thought for a minute the REAL concern was the beluga and sea lions. And something about the deer and maybe bears?

But, if it's only about the whales and dolphins, then it's all good. Glad your opinion is based on full fact and total knowledge of these animals. And not just your knowledge of 'living in the local area'.

I just brought up the whales, and dolphins. They shouldnt be brought into captivity anywhere. Im not trying to be argumentive.

That's your opinion. Not fact.

We were in ML this week on vacation. Nice park. We all enjoyed it.

Hello all.....haven't been on here in ages but I just thought I would chime in on this.....reports coming out of Marineland from former employees and not current employees is likely because of the fact that if you are gonna stir the pot....they are going to show you the door. Pretty simple I would say, so the fact that former employees are the only people willing to step forward is not that shocking to me....doesn't take away from the fact that sea lions have their eyes popping out of their sockets due to water conditions....not rocket science here people.....kinda disgusting that we are even debating the merits of that I would say. I just have one other reminder to all who care......FREE WILLY....the whale in the movie.....he came from Marineland and the only aquarium willing to pay a buck for him was some crap hole in Mexico.....when the film makers found him there and decided to use him in the movie he was in worse shape..... the fact is.....when Marineland auctioned him off in the first place no one wanted him because he was in such poor condition to begin with.....this was 20 years ago.....they have a crappy track record. The fact of the matter remains......animals for human entertainment.....let your conscience guide you. This whole issue in on par with Heineken sponsoring dog fighting in Asian countries.....you either give up Heineken or you condone dog fighting.....simple as that.....nuff said. Peace.

sure its going to look good to the paying public. Go behind the scenes. Ask people who have lived in the area since marineland opened.
