marineland dolphin encounter vs. discovery cove

has anyone been to the dolphin encounter at marineland in st augustine? if so what are the details ? our 7 year old daughter is crazy for dolphins but the discovery cove admission is a little steep. any info is appreciated.

I can't speak to Marineland, but I can tell you that the Discovery Cove program is very special.

Check with Marineland to be sure they'll accept your daughter. Discovery Cove takes kids 6 and up for the dolphion encounter, but Marineland may have a higher age cutoff.

Yes, Discovery Cove is expensive, but if it's any concolation, the admission includes 7 days at SeaWorld. And not everyone has to do the dolphin encounter.
